Well, yes and no.
Individually, the group members were able to acquire cars, flats and later mansions and have a disposable income and lifestyle beyond most peoples dreams.
First Co- Manager Eric Easton had accounts set up to cover current and future tax liabilities.
When EE got the boot in 1965 this practice was presumably dispensed with.
Loog Oldham was inept at matters financial....as the Immediate Records debacle some years later confirmed.

One reason might be it is worth more to someone else than it is to him, no matter that he might have an interest in owning it again, he still might get outbid by some crazy car buying rich person. I know Keith is rich, but so is Jay Leno and he (or some other rich car nut like him) might want it more than Keith.

I am astounded at what some cars sell for at auction these days and when there is a famous person attached to the car it sells for even crazier prices.

Of course Keith might/should buy it, but the question was "why wouldn't he?"

The car will be purchased by an investor hoping to make a nice gain in a few years .
Vintage car became investments nowadays.

Maybe Mick will buy it for Keith as a present

Maybe Sally will buy it for Ronnie and Ronnie will loan it to Keith who will loan it to Keith's grandson Orson to take his driver's license test.

Keith sold it a couple of years ago after owning it for 46 years. I imagine he was quite ready to let it go, and has no desire to re-acquire it. No doubt the new owner will treasure it.

Glad Keith didn't buy all "Exile" books when it has been released...although someone mentioned here he bought a couple editions...

Maybe Chris Evans will buy it and loan it to the THE Exhibition in London next year.

Keith repurchasing it for The Exhibition is right along the lines I was thinking -
the potential for immersion scenarios in that back seat would be enormous :E

What a car it is! But I like the above pic from latcho. What's amazing is all the stories related to that car, from Keith's book and many other books, of wild rides. How was it again when Keith crashed the car in some village into the garden of some people at night and made the getaway?
