This is certainly one of the funniest I've read: I think my sides just split.

And Wyman is much the same [as Watts]: basically a bassist with a lack of even the most basic technical skills, but able to always find that fantastic groove and swing, and always able to add a melodic layer in what is fairly simple music.

It's funny in that it is so contradictory. A bassist without the most basic technical skills able to find fantastic grooves and add melodic layers. Obviously both Wyman and Watts have their basic technical skills well mastered.
Any true musician would be honored to have these two holding down the rhythm section for them, would likely be blown away by their ability to handle all the technicalities of their roles and would never question their skills. How can anyone suggest or try to affirm that theses guys aren't some of the best in the business at what they do...play rock and roll rhythm. Hilarious.

Personally, I find the Mick Taylor Talk thread increasingly funny.

The whole coining of the phrase "Scarf Me Up" and the creation of the character of Keith's scarf- the malevolent force that is really behind all those blown opening riffs. That's message board magic.

bv probably had a good laugh too. Are you suggesting he should have pulled a Dirty Harry here, what do you mean he missed that one?

Please. You'll be back as soon as you hear the praises the Beatles fans heap onto Sgt. Pepper's, even though it's not even as good as GHS.

Some of those Japanese interpreted Stones lyrics were pretty damn funny.
