Rockman is always great!

Funniest poster ever was the Indian boy/girl (can't remember the name) who was confused about his/her sexuality among many other things. Posted in very broken English. Anybody else remember?

I very much miss RevTwennyRedLights' posts! He was a big L'Wren fan like me and his predictions were amazing.

This is certainly one of the funniest I've read: I think my sides just split.

...

And Wyman is much the same [as Watts]: basically a bassist with a lack of even the most basic technical skills, but able to always find that fantastic groove and swing, and always able to add a melodic layer in what is fairly simple music.

I thought it was pretty funny when I got "digitally bitch slapped" by treaclefingers back on the SuperHeavy thread years ago. I deserved it and the coining of that phrase was worth the sting.

His "Two trains-theory" might be one of the best posts ever. Not sure if it was posted here or on Shidoobee, though smiling smiley

Pretty new here but I think one of the funniest things I've seen is in the pictures of the rolling stones with other famous people thread where a couple of people didn't realize that Elvis from 1958 and Mick from 1969 was photoshopped. I got a tiny kick out of that. spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

This just made me laugh - in reponse to the (lame) thread 'Would a Stones concert be a good place to die', stonehearted replied 'Ask Meredith Hunter'.

This is an old one (2000 or so?) but Nola taper/trader Freezer dropped here once.

He wagged our tails on the "hey why do you buy boots pressed from inferior audience tapes. You losers. My versions of these tapes sound so much better than your boots. Fools!" subject. Needless to say things got heated quickly between Freezer and forum regulars and on the (rather loose and liberal) IORR.org scale of obscenity and profanity, we reached unprecedented highs...

BV had to ban a few members including Freezer... and me! grinning smiley

The whole coining of the phrase "Scarf Me Up" and the creation of the character of Keith's scarf- the malevolent force that is really behind all those blown opening riffs. That's message board magic.

See also: being Omaha'd.

I also recall Thrylan saying he saw Stonestod in a Trader Vic's, and his hair was PERFECT!
