I love One Hit but,I'm not sure about it as an opener because it is not popular enough.It would be great to hear it in the sixth slot or something like that.

I would like to see a longer song for the opener SFTD or like a rolling stone would be a nice change.

yeah - but it would never happen. too many jobs (sound, lights, etc.) are dependent on what the setlist opens with....

WELL STONESTOD, 49,999 of MY CLOSEST FRIENDS when polled voted with me for ONE HIT! But guess what???????? It doesn't matter, it ain't gonna happen anyway. Thief IN THE NIGHT may be right about it not being that well known amongst the casual fans and as we know, the Stones don't take alot of risks these days! That's one of the things that annoys me! Night after night, basicly the same set list with MAYBE a 3 song variation if we're lucky. It doesn't look like the theatre shows are happening so it may well be an even more rigid set list on this tour. It remains to be seen but from what I'm hearing, the numbers of shows that will be attended will depend on the variations in the set lists. It's almost as if the Die Hards are saying, " Ok, screw it! This band has given us such joy for 42 years, I'm biting the bullet and going to as many shows as possible....IF the shows are not EXACTLY ALIKE!".

the stones must be open with a great number, very famous and where the people jumps and goes crazy ( is the opener!!) remenber the last tours, songs like satisfaction, jjf, brown sugar, start me up, streets man, where the reaction with the people is in a second.
so i think they must be open with :

The Stones dropped it because they couldnt hack it on stage to their satisfaction (actually, I thought it was pretty decent), so I cant see them playing it live this time at all, let alone as a show opener.

Theyve always had problems with that song. Even in the studio. Jimmy Page played the lead because Keith & Ronnie couldnt get it right themselves

Do we know that is the reason for sure?What about Page as a special guest at a few shows?

You know, I heard that Page played some of the guitar on the studio version of ONE HIT but forgot until now! Yeah, what a treat that would be to see Page stroll on with the band, say 4 numbers into the set and start to play!! He may NOT want to leave though and that could be a problem!!

Personally, if he stayed onstage I could live with it, I think!!
