Just booked tickets for the exhibition during my holiday in September.
Looking forward to seeing it. Besides the Unzipped book is there more special merchandise available?

A little impression of the openingparty last thursday.
The exhibition was great, the band was great, free drinks were great.

The very best part was meeting some cool Stones-fans,
some were facebook-friends for years and we never met before!

Is there also a shop afterwards? Nice stuff to purchase?

Off to Groningen today to finally see the exhibit tomorrow! Will be nice to catch up with local hero ErwinH as well.

Yesterday I went to the unzipped exhibition. The way how it was set up is great with all the different aspects. But in my opinion I had the feeling i missed stuff and stories of Brian and Bill and even the presence of Ian was little.
I had a great time and really enjoyed the exhibition

I'm going next week with my dadda

It was a fun time for sure. We spent just about two hours. Maybe a bit less of the video screens and more of the actual memorabilia would have been better, but the whole concept is well-designed. The part where you can control the mix on different songs was very interesting! I should have tried them all.

And, as requested by SomeTorontoGirl, we left a little something on the bed at "Edith Grove": a couple of guitar picks from the IORR Band!

It's a tradition so we honored it.

I went this weekend with my father, an original Stones fan from the 60s. Very nice to check it all out. My father normally doesn't like museums, but here he looked at everything and read everything. The models of the stages over the years are also beautiful. A nice piece of music at the end. I looked at the sheets on which Mick had written the lyrics to Miss You and such, and thought: how special. It's like looking at a draft sketch by Rembrandt. But then I realized that Mick is of course still alive and still writing lyrics. How special that you are already a monument while alive..

Rolling Stones Pop-Up Store aan de Grote Markt in Groningen . De locatie van deze tijdelijke winkel heeft natuurlijk alles te maken met de expositie Unzipped over The Rolling Stones die sinds juli dit jaar in het Groninger Museum te bewonderen is. Deze wordt op 20 oktober om 13:00 geopend door niemand minder dan Leo Blokhuis

Does anyone know for sure if this is the absolute last stop of the exhibitionism/unzipped/museum?
I am hoping for another city near an airport as a day trip from Athens to Groningen just for the museum will be quite difficult. I haven't been able to go yet all these years but I know I simply must have this experience. It would be good to know, if this is it, I'll be there the mid January.
