A German publishing company has announced a new Rolling Stones - book for autumn, stating that the exhibition is expected to come to Germany in early 2022.

I spoke to somebody at the publisher's, but she did not know what city/ museum is going to host it.

My guess is that it will be either Frankfurt or Berlin. Looking forward to it!

Is Bill Wymans sold amp and other former possessions still in the exhibit?
If not, what is replacing it?

Thanks for the scans, I'll be going there in mid-July.

MattleeUK posted on FB that this time 50 of his objects were on display instead of 80 previously, which sounds like a pretty high percentage ! Not sure what these are and what else has been removed...

Must be stripped back compared to Exhibitionism - most of the objects Bill lent back in 2016 have now been sold at auction.

The Rolling Stones in a museum! Their work is not only made up of unforgettable and influential music. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood and other band members have also left their tracks visually and tangibly. The list of fashion designers, artists, photographers, designers and lmmakers who worked with the Stones coincides with the highlights of modern art history: Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Jean-Luc Godard, Martin Scorsese, Annie Leibovitz, Jean Paul Gaultier to Alexander McQueen and Gianni Versace. At the same time, The Rolling Stones remained very recognizable, an icon. Unzipped is the breathtaking catalogue at the international exhibition of the same name. Beautiful design and performance, both content and visually a spectacular edition! The book is full of fantastic photos and the band members often speak in interviews made especially for this edition. With a foreword from legendary music journalist Anthony DeCurtis."

So this is a special book specifically published in Dutch for the Netherlands run of Exhibitionism? How different will it be from the exhibit book that was published in 2016? Additional fotos, additional text, or what?

Amazon in the US is listing the book. You can preorder it for an October 12, 2021 release date. It's hardcover, US$44.99, and in English.

I am wondering the same thing: how different is the book from the Exhibitionism text?

New Book on the Stones -- Unzipped -- Due Out October 12th

Maybe someone has already posted on this, in which case I will delete this, but I've not heard of it. A friend who works for Barnes & Noble sent me the notice. It doesn't seem to be an exhibition book, but more of an overall history. I've no idea how good it is. Anyway ...

Overview

An intimate and comprehensive volume tracing the incredible musical career and creative life of the Rolling Stones.
“As well as going back through our history we wanted everyone to experience and feel exactly what it’s like to be in the Rolling Stones.”

For almost 60 years the Rolling Stones have helped shape popular culture around the world. Unzipped traces their impact and influence on rock music, art, design, fashion, photography, and filmmaking. Packed with evocative archive photos, artworks, outtakes, and memorabilia, this stunning book immerses readers in the world of the Stones.

Peppered throughout with insightful new commentary by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, and Ronnie Wood, this volume also features a compelling introduction by Anthony De Curtis, as well as essays by Buddy Guy, Don Was, Anna Sui, John Varvatos, Martin Scorsese, Shephard Fairey, Patrick Woodroffe, and Willie Williams. In addition to stills from films, videos, and documentary footage, vivid photographic sections showcase the Stones’ musical instruments, their stage clothing, album cover designs, notebooks with lyrics, and tape boxes from the original recording sessions.

Bold, glamorous, and captivating, Unzipped is the perfect showcase for “the greatest rock ’n’ roll band in the world.”

This is the catalogue of the exhibition.

Compared to the book that was sold on Exhibitionnism, it's the same content with a couple of additional pages to feature the Ole and No Filter tours.

You can see items in it that are no longer on display when viviting Unzipped.

OK, it wasn't clear that it was the exhibit book from the description. Is it brand new though?

I'll ask BV to delete this thread. Thanks for the clarification.
