I swear I am hearing 'The Rolling Stone' each and every time! Maybe too many Stones concerts have ruined my hearing but I swear that's what I am hearing. Anyone else???

I hear it too. Many many times in the past.

I heard 'The Rolling Stones' last night at Summerfest.

Like Drake, I have heard the singular form used in the past - in fact it was very noticeable at one of the last few shows on this current tour.

Wasn't this the show where the contest winner was supposed to introduce the band? Possibly Matt said "Ladies and Gentlemen" then upon handing the mic to the contest winner, although she (I think it was a woman who won the contest) managed to get "sss" (or "the s..") out before freezing in "stage fright" and Matt quickly finished the line. Which did sound singular to me.
