Do you live on Stones time?
Posted by: Lipsgogreen ()

When I get up in the morning, it is time for Some Girls and Tattoo You. It's time to take a shower when I put on MSG 03 (HBO). That is just the first part of the morning.

I know what songs I have to play so the Stones music coincides with the length of the trip. I do this even if I am only going around the corner.

I know what Rolling Stones music I cook dinner to. I know what songs to listen to while baking a cake. I know what Stones concert I am going to watch in the evening. I know what I am going to listen to while I fall asleep with my head phones on 11.
I kind of love The Stones. I can wear people down, because I only listen to the Stones, all the time.

Does any one else do things on Stones time?

Thanks.

Tim

I listen to the Stones all the time. Don't know about being on Stones time as such. I am doing a lot of travelling by car for my job at the moment.
Great thing is I get paid whilst driving and listening to the Stones.
This week Sticky Fingers has dominated, last week playlist included Aftermath, Exile, Rolled Gold, Sympathy for the Devil boot (69-72) to Boots of Jagger solo tour 88.
Might indulge in some Tattoo You or whatever Stones album takes my fancy for my trip tomorrow.

You are a man after my heart. I never considered getting paid to listen to Stones music. That would be awesome!!!

I have always happily paid to listen to The Stones. Sometimes as little as
.99 (US) for Spotify. Sometimes as much as $5000.00 US for Fonda and TWICE that
for Belly Up.

I bring it on home. I'm tellin the truth (WAB TY).

Thanks.

Tim

I ONLY listen to the Stones. But I have had a wonderful, diverse, well educated, family orientated life.

Have been all over the world (many times for Stones shows), and many times for different reasons. I try to take in as much as I can when I visit other places.

I have not missed a home game of the Miami Dolphins since 1987. I have watched every Heat game since 2006 and was at most of the home games during The LeBron era. I went every NBA Finals game that the Heat has played in during its Wade era.

I follow NASCAR Sprint Cup. I am a big Hendrick Motor sports fan. Have also been to quite a few races all over the USA.

I love collector cars. Especially 60's-70's era muscle cars. As well as all Corvettes. I go to Meccum auctions.

I cook gourmet foods every day.

I take care of my mother who has mid level dementia. My father is fit mentally and physically.

I have a wonderful son who I take every where he wants to go (I am so blessed, he is a wonderful child. Not a bit of problem). I get him almost anything he wants.

I love to go out on my boat and do anything on the water (fish, crab, ski, dive, race boats etc.)

I do everything while listening to the Stones.

The only thing messed up in my life is me. And I am as clean now as I ever plan on being. I am very happy. Things are good.

I live The Stones
I love The Stones.

Thanks.

Tim

Nice post, Tim. If living on Stones time gets you through the day, there are worse habits, by far. Your life seems centered and happy. Best to you and yours. smiling smiley

listen to the stones once a week, prefer to listen with the headphones on, usually while on youtube.

have given it real thought to having a stones marathon type day where i listen to every cd and dvd i got in chronological order till i either fall asleep or the music ends.

Who is this only stones character? He sounds pretty wild.
You better listen to him, he seems to have been around for a long time.

He will be in Raleigh if you want to meet him. You will have a blast.

Well you heard about the Boston...

Thanks.

If I've had enough beer or am sufficiently hung over, then I tend to walk with a "wobble".

But, seriously, I work at home all day on the computer in a capacity that allows me to put on headphones and listen to music constantly.

So I'll begin the workday in chronological order with the U.S. albums beginning with Newest Hitmakers, 12X5, Now!, etc., until I get to Aftermath, and then I'll throw in the boot Keys To The Highway to get some alternate versions of the early- to mid-60s era. If I play the UK versions of the mid-60s albums, then when I get to 1966 I'll take a detour through Hide Tide, Green Grass to get some of the hits.

It's always interesting to see how many "years" on Stones time it takes to get through a workday.

On the weekend I'll start in usually with Let It Bleed and continue chronologically until 1974 or so and then stop working, because it's the weekend and Time Waits For No One, you understand.

If you do indeed rock that hard, you are right up there with me. I pretty much listen from '69 to '06 inclusively. I have been to many of the '12 to '15 shows, I have not begun to dissect this material, to watch or listen to, with any sufficiency.

I have a plan and several back ups. I will not go without my Stones on any given day.

I frowned at the crumbs of a crust of bread.

Thanks.

Tim

Punctuality is over rated.

I find that when I haven't heard a song or a record in a long time I get more joy out of it. Like all music, even the Stones can lose their magic somewhat if you over do it, imo. But when I find myself attracted to a particular track I tend to play the hell out of it and milk it for all it can give me, then I put it away.

Yes. If the sun is starting to set, I make sure I spend all my dollars, otherwise they'll burn a hole in my pants.

I didn't start this. but I will play along.

Wanking to Factory girl usually gets the job done. However, if that doesn't quite get it. I GO WILD. Every time I think of those body poppers and those waitresses with broken noses...Oh my God I just made a mess.

Watch out for those femme fatales and dirty bitches.

Thanks.
