Looking forward to hear if Heartbreaker had the same power as in 2003, or if they rushed it, which I suspect they did.

While it was great to have it back in the set, it seemed to me it lacked a bit in the wah-wah and the clavinet department ! EDIT - Well just looking at the HQ YouTube version above it was actually pretty good, something missing, not sure what, guitars maybe not quite loud enough ?

Just watched the show on Debbie's periscope from the replay button. Looked a great setlist - i think there's going to be a few great pictures of Micks 'panic' face from this gig - Charlie on JJ Flash and the start of HTW had a few problems - I can only imagine the look on Micks face!

Great show! Encountered Bernard Fowler on festival grounds right before we entered the amph. Will post photos and comments as I wake up. The band really seemed to enjoy themselves. The crowd was into it. All good!! I hope all who attended enjoyed Milwaukee...it was great having you!

Heartbreaker is one of my favourite songs and I would have loved to hear it live one day. I just watched the video and must say I didn't love it. Didn't like Ronnie's intro and hated the way Mick is singing it. The whole thing sounds like a bad cover version. Sorry for the negativity. Still looking forward to seeing them in QC next month and I still hope for something like Heartbreaker over the usual suspects, just put in a tiny bit more effort please!

Great show, thought the band sounded fantastic, especially Mick and Ronnie. CYHMK and Moonlight Mile were the two songs I desperately wanted to hear so to get both of them and Heartbreaker was awesome. Buddy Guy ripped it up too, hard to believe he's 78.

My one word description = Exceptional

More perspective to follow later today. Have to get two kids out of bed and hit the road for the trek back to Minneapolis.

Such a nice night weather wise. Place was packed. I will say that the sound was in and out through many songs especially as it related to the guitars when either Keith or Ron were NOT soloing. This becomes the luck of the draw as we know at concerts, and to a large degree dictates whether or not a concert soars for us individually. I will also say that when the sound was right and the guitars were up in the mix it WAS a rocking deal. With no wind at all how could sound not get dialed in after the first few songs? We were up right under the roof of the pavillion in the back just below the lawn area and the sound should have popped in that location. As I said in and out which was frustrating, but I am sure for others in different locations it was much better/worse....

Setlist was really great. I thought Moonlights Mile and Heartbreaker were excellent. Champagne and Reefer was top end, with Guitar Buddy pushing it. CYHMK had the in/out guitar sound again with Keith. Ronnie solos all night were very good IMO. Keith up in the mix gave Shelter a serious edge. Keith also got BTMMR into a real groove with Ronnie. BS also sounded very good as well.

I hadn't heard anything from this tour prior to last night to compare with. The Stones extended many songs with the core riffs at the end that made for a nice groove. This band surely still has the chops to continue on. Of course there were some botched/improvised openings and finishes, but that is part of what this band is. MJ remains THE front man for the ages and was in excellent voice. I could do with less of the singalong audience participation schtick, but hey it's a show right? Good news for Stones fans is that Keith imo is playing much better right now than what I have seen from him in many years. That means more gigs for the fans moving forward.

Overall, these guys still have it and should be seen if you can get to one of these gigs. Amazing they can still rock with the best of em, and when they get that groove going it remains a speical sound to my ears.

That's a great version of Heartbreaker! Can't see anything wrong with that one? It's even etter than previous versions, imo. Very nice and emotional solo by Ronnie.

I saw CYHMK in SD show. But last night's CYHMK was much better ensembled I believe. One of the highlights of the show.
My top 3 tunes last night are CYHMK, C&R with BG, Brown Sugar.

First time watching Buddy Guy. He is pretty powerful. Looks even younger than Mick.


I expect latvianexile will post super nice photos though.

I agree Ronnie's solo in the middle is very nice. Just don't like Mick's delivery of the vocals. But like I said I would prefer to see this live rather than another Miss You or YGMR.
