In case anyone cares about my summer/spring plans - last night it was decided that we should return to Toronto by the 10th of June and stay there until the 17th of June.

This could change of course. But as of this moment - those are our plans. As always, things MIGHT change. Also as always, God willing; good health for all of us; no SNAFUs; no FUBARs.

I understand completely. Our plans will change to July once my phone calls have been returned and if June is incorrect.

The plans we made last night were made because those were the dates we were given and we were told before Quebec.

Four off days in between the 12th and the 17th in June...
Monday the 15th would be my guess.

Course, I'm really hoping that the returned phone calls switch the month to July.. As I will be in that neck of the woods in route to QC from Buffalo.

Why be vague here? Can't you just come out and say a Toronto Stones gig is rumored to be in the works for June 15, or whenever? And tell us where the gig is too?

Is there a rule here that you aren't allowed to give too much information before bv (or you) have secured tickets or something? Why on earth would you be scared about this post being deleted?

Roller99 gave us information about the Fonda gig before anyone had a clue and it turned out to be true and accurate, his posts weren't deleted.

Don't get me wrong I appreciate the information, I just don't understand the need to be intentionally vague and tiptoe around out of fear of your post being deleted. Such strange politics surrounding this whole fan heirachy secret information situation. I wish someone would just spell it out for me.

Cocaine Eyes, your threads get not deleted. They get merged with threads BV set up for related topics. Many of us had this happen and while it does feel a bit annoying,
I'd trust BV that he knows how to keep overview on the forum. Setting up an email list as suggested could really be a way to go, I for one am higly interested.

1. Insiders do not give out EXACT info until the promo people give the go ahead.

2. Deleting this post - I was afraid BV would merge it (AGAIN) or delete it because it doesn't say something like "Palais Royale, 16 August 2002, tix $10.00, on sale at 8 am on the day of the show".

3. And you've sort of hit the nail on the head regarding tickets and why the site owner never gives out info while he's in line at a certain venue. That has always puzzled me. Why not help out his faithful followers?

Of course it wasn't deleted! The site owner was already IN THAT CITY and word would be spreading like wildfire! Same with Belly Up (which was a PRIVATE affair). He 'just happened' to visit Belly Up the day before.......

That's my point - he's been standing in line at The Fonda, The Phoenix,The Whatever small club and (to the best of my knowledge) he's never posted here something like "Hey people, there's a small gig tonight at The Poo-Poo Club in Kenora, Ontario Canada. Good luck to everyone in getting tickets". Why not help out the faithful followers? That's my question! Why leave it to folks with connections?

I'm actually OK with the site owner doing whatever he wants in terms of posting information he gets. It's not like he has any obligation to post the secret and inside info. here. History has shown he's not apt to do it so I have no expectations. I think he does his share by just keeping the site up and allowing other like yourself and roller99 to fulfill that role. He probably gets some tips here just like we do! His desire to secure his own place in these unannounced shows is totally understandable really.

Sounds like you are pretty secure in the knowledge that you will be inside and watching this rumored gig. Perhaps if you were more insecure about that fact you too would "delay" sharing the information on public bulletin board.

But, indeed your information is much appreciated! I enjoy your posts and the lightness and humor contained in them. I always imagine you have a delightful smile when posting them.

However, another insider received the same info as I did and the word "June" might be a typo. We both were told the date(s) in "June" but then we were told that it would be Buffalo------->TO-------->Quebec.

So for now, let's all relax and I'll confirm/correct this situation as I get info.

BTW: The sidemen have no idea about "June" so it's all looking more and more like a typo for the word 'July'.

I'll be back as time goes on. Till then, let's all remain cool, calm and collected.

So. July 13 is mid way between Buffalo and Quebec. Unlikely that they would do a show 2 nights in a row, right? As long as nothing happens on the 14th - I fly to Quebec that morning. This is NOT an easy passion...

I'm rolling back into my hometown Toronto after buffalo. Amen @ sometorontogirl.. I'm on the road doing the whole tour this is not an easy passion at all!

I'm not saying that there is or will be a show, I still doubt it given that between Buffalo and QC there are only a few days. But I hear a lot of mentions of Bala Ontario from CE. There's apparently a link between Bala and The Danforth Music Hall. Here's a link to the article. Danforth Music Hall

If there were a show, I'd look here. But as I say, I don't know of anything.

Danforth music hall is a great venue. I was front row centre there for my favourite Canadian band the new pornographers in February.
