Thanks for sharing the clips, Crawdaddy! That SFTD title sure got dumbed down to the lowest common denominator I dare to say that Keefs solo #1 was a very effective effort. Strong sound too.

Ha! I think this is what happens when Keith tries to play "fast" licks. I'm not sure what the hell to think of the results..it's a mix between delighted that he is trying so hard, embarrassed that he seems to be playing a different song or at least in a different tempo and totally entertained that it is different from the last 50 times he's played it. Definitely one of those Keith moments, almost punk in it's "in your face, screw you, eat this" delivery. I think I like it.

Thanks Irix! After totally missing "The sound of strangers bringing nothing to my mind" he seems to makes up for it by singing the rest of the tune really well.

Definitely a highlight for this tour, imo. All the performances of this tune have been good!

Those seven seconds are the reason Keith was, and still occasionally is (surprisingly), one of only a handful of preeminent rock n' roll guitarist's dating back to 1950's. One could get any hundred technically advanced players to play those seven seconds but you'd be only guessing as to who they are. Keith always left no doubt who he is. Only a select few can make the same claim.

And FYI Mr. peace This solo does not come in on the one and lays pefectly. The only emarassment you should feel is over not knowing when something is in the groove.

His insensitive intrusion into the start of Miss You made my blood boil. It's a laid back groovy number designed for intimate dancing in a club... it doesn't need Vegas layers of twiddles on the keyboard.
