Yes, that would be the best solution.
The band wouldn't do that, they never do, always up to venue/promoter to do that and those costs are on top of the flat fee.
Assuming that flat fee is $3M, then you need at least another 50k to cover your other costs (security inside & out, insurance, venue, catering/rider etc etc)
So 1000 people x $3,050.
That's a lot, especially given people already posting on here they'd like to pay $1,000. that won't get you there.
Now you could do a theatre show, say Hammy O; 3,500 people at $1000 ea and you're done....but of course anyone coming over from the US (a large proportion of the folks willing to splash the cash) would also have to be in for 2k in flights/hotels etc.......
$1000 is out of the question. Around $3000 each person attending is realistic, already about 50 interested in less than four hours so come on folks, let´s see how many we can get

How much do you think we'd need to get it to be a serious option? Cause even with $3000 per ticket, just to get to 1 million we'd need 300 people. Not an unreasonable number, but I feel its way smaller then you'd think. We'd have "a lot of money to offer", but not even 2 million.

So long as someone else pays for security, insurance, venue, etc., then I'm in. Also, extra security will be needed to beat off the deadbeats who can't afford it & try to mill about in hopes of getting in...they're the worst!

What about those of us who think it's a cool idea but don't have $3k to blow on this kind of thing? If I went in for, say, $100, could I come for just over 3% of the show? (Maybe two minutes of JJF or something)

I've never done anything like this before, but for $2mil beyond renting the venue, couldn't we insist the band management handle everything else? We rent the venue and have control of all the tickets, and the band has control over everything inside the venue? Hire their own security, etc?
