ooh that's a pitty I missed the rocker

Just got Streets of Love from Rockpassion.

First impression is Out of Tears mk II. And not too dis-similar to a certain Bryan Adams rock ballad from a few years ago...

However, this might appeal to the masses (as opposed to hardcore fans) which may be why they chose it for a first single.

they are really getting old.in my opinion sad new track.

I think it is up to the radio stations what they play. They must have released two songs. But not all radio stations spend that much time on one band. BBC radio 2 said they would make the new Stones album the "album of the week" in September, so they sounds dedicated. But in a few minutes time we will know...

Out of tears and Brand new set of rules with a bad guitar and drum sound, and awful lyrics. Even if they're old, I hope they can still do better.

I just wondered whether to hop out of the office back to my car to listen in...

The good thing with all this is that the Stones are still a controversial band right? ... You guys are all upset of that little song ... i think thats great.

The songs sounds alright to me .. and I dont think it will be the single .. it's just some song of the album .. we'll see...

Would have liked a rocker, but this Streets of Lovething should be good live

I hope they don't put this piece of crap on the album...maybe this is the last single of Goddess in the doorway' not the new stones single.

This makes me really very sceptic about all those enthusiastic listening party reports.

The following have been posted by me at least 5-6 times already this morning. Spend at least ONE minute reading other posts and threads before you open a new one. A new thead is suppsed to be UNIQUE, on a different subject. OK?

What could I say Streets of Love I assume It's live much better.

And it is not about what you say, but HOW you say it. If I did not close duplicated theads then we would probably have a hundred new ones by noon. If you like or don't like the new songs, please say it here, not in a punchline in a new post. OK? Or am I the only person here who appreciate structure?

5 or 6 threads for a "event" like this should be alright, but that´s just my opinion.

It sounds messy, poppy and slick. Almost Hear You Sigh is far more better, that one is a real Stones-song. Streets Of Love is Mick solo... not Stones-worthy. It's dissappointing. And Mick did not make any different ballad since Goddess, they all sound the same (sound, melody, mix, vocals).
Till after Bridges To Babylon every Stones-ballad stood on his own, had his own sound etc.

Where can we hear Rough Justice?

Love is strong and Anybody seen my baby were really suprising when I first heard them. Now this one is a mixture of the Mick solo ballad sound and sounded familiar to me from the first second. Brand New Set Of Rules Part II. So this is the best song they come up with after 8 years?

I also think the lyrics are lame and cliched. Jagger has run out of ideas.I thought the guitar in the second half of the song sounded good though, I could be wrong but the lick sounds like Woody to me ?
Also like "Oh No Not You" which is a better song, but both sound somewhat unfinished, which is something you cant say about any Stones material ever, the years are maybe taking there toll.

I kind of like it. Easy to listen to. I don't think it will last long if it charts, but so what. I was hoping for a better guitar break. Still, it's nice.
