Hollywood Star ?

Seems like anybody, including Renee Zellweger, can get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame these days. Alice Cooper (I like him) has one, so why not the Stones? Do you have to be American for that?

If anyone can get one then the original meaning has become diluted and no longer offers any sort of exclusivity. That being the case, why would anyone, much less the Stones, want one?

as many of the top movie stars and directors throughout history werent American, i'd seriously doubt that

I cant imagine there is no 'star' for the likes of Alfred Hitchcock, Charlie Chaplin, Stan Laurel, Cary Grant, Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Laurence Olivier, Alec Guinness or er..Arnold Schwarzenegger

Good point! Could you picture Mick on his knees and kissing the pavement while accepting his star?

Do we really need that? I'd rather would like to see the richmond club open with a lot of old photos than kissing a star in hollywood

I have heard that stars on the Hollywood Blvd. are basically nominated and if you qualify , which I'm sure the Stones would , as long as the funding for the project are supplied it's rather an easy thing to attain a star .

I guess you can even nominate yourself .
