The Avett Brothers in Raleigh!!!!! They are one of the best "new" bands in the last 10 years. They will rock it in their home state. My two favorite bands, one night. They are high energy, extremely talented singer/song writers and who rock it out!!!

Glad you're excited. Getting and opener and headliner you're actually both excited about is a rare thing. I'm not familiar with The Avett Brothers, at least not that I'm aware of. I'll add them to my "Things To Listen To" list.

Thnaks for listing the source, seems like an odd choice, but maybe not not for a country town.... then again I have seen some odd choices of openers for this band... e.g Merle Haggard opened for them in Little Rock one time... and freekin Brooks and Dunn opened them in Omaha. Merle was kind of cool... but Brooks and Dunn was painful.

Brad does a great live show and is miles better than Grace Potter!

I am so sick of the snobbery around here. Its music people. If you don't like it, learn to play and make your own. Paisley is an absolutely ripping guitar player, even if you hate his songs, you are still going to see one of the top musicians in his industry at the moment. I know he's a true music nerd too, so this opportunity must be a real thrill for him.

So jealous that Orlando gets the Temperance Movement. Great band!!! As soon as they started playing a Waldbuhne, I was hooked.

If you are one of those who skip the opening acts, I'd make an exception and catch this one.

I totally dig GPATN, but to each his or her own. Meanwhile, you may have just opened the door to me on Nickelback. Damnit!

How cool would it have been if Buddy Guy had just been the opener to all 15 shows... oh well, I do my best to avoid openingacts anyway...

Ohhhhhh, what a great opener !!!

Some of these are brilliant even if you don't know them, or care for their sound. Ed Sheeran in KC. The need to fill that huge stadium and he's hot with the college kids. Paisley in Nashville is great to sell tickets there.
Milwaukee's already soldout, so Buddy Guy is great for older Stones fans.
Grace Potter is awesome, she'll rock too. Good fit for the Stones.

Remember this is all to help fill empty stadiums. They weren't going to have opening acts until they saw how slow the sales were. So the acts they pick are to bring in the kids of the fans already attending.
