Last ones I've seen would be from '78 or so... there was a discussion about this a while ago though, I'm going to see if I can find it.

LOL on the edge of your seat right? Well, I for one have got nothing better to do this week since I'm having a bit of a staycation...

The discussion I was remembering was actually about drugs and not smoking but it's here http://www.iorr.org/talk/read.php?1,2071206,2071504#msg-2071504

I would think he would have quit both around the same time though.

it seems so inconsistent with him, especially now, but he did smoke tobacco sometimes..

probably for the image he wanted in photos...I doubt he ever had the several cigarettes- a -day kind of habit..

there's film of him smoking in an interview, in the sixties, where he inhales the smoke through his nostrils as its coming out his mouth..

just aint you, Mick..

Yes, in LSTNT he smoked Ronnie's cigarette during You Can't always get what you want.

Hah, he took one from Ronnie and, in profile, pretended to light it onstage in Las Vegas, May 2013.

I guess that's not smoking it, though funny as hell.

Mick actually never smoked real cigarettes.
If you look real close at early photo's you will see that there is no smoke.
Since the age of 7 Mick had been addicted to various brands of Candy Cigarettes, Renegade, Easy Puff, Sweet Smoke, & Slinger, just to name a few...I am not sure that he ever actually gave them up. My guess is that he still sneaks one in every once in a while behind closed doors.

I bet you there was a time when he smoked Popeye cigarettes! I was a heavy smoker of Popeye back in the day.

When was the last time Mick did throw up? Just curious.

I am sure I'll get a five pages or more thread if I open a thread with that question.

He smoked in the 80s but I think he has been very careful and probably quit then. Drugs are one thing, it's the smoking that kills you every day and it makes sure you feel it in the lung. He can't really work out and stay in shape as a smoker. The Jagger workout regime doesn't allow that. Not anymore.

I don't think Keith smokes a lot either and I don't think he has for some time. If he dies from abuse it's not the coke or smack or downers. It's the tar, the sun, the cannabis and the booze.

Where do people come up with this stuff? Candy cigs? And addicted no less..eye rolling smiley
What was Keith addicted to? Vitamin B shots?

Here is a photo of Mick striking a flame to his candy, I guess burning the candy was the actual cause of the addiction./

Wolf, you are getting to be a drag.

I have a feeling that Jagger quit smoking sometime between the '78 North American tour and the shows in 1981. I've seen images of him smoking circa 1978, but nothing later. Let's be grateful he packed it in: Jagger's in terrific shape and there is absolutely no doubting that things could be very different if he had carried on with the nicotine habbit.

Yeah I do think he smoked in some interview in the mid 80s though but no way he carried on like before. Jagger in 1989 is very far away from Jagger 1979.
