Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, 1965. I bet there is a Youtube video for playing it on guitar.

One of my fav stones covers.

Still life version is in B. Drop som Es an Ds during the verses.

Chorus is E to D to A, then E to D and back to E

What really makes thi song is Bill being quite faithful to James Jamerson's original bass line.

Key of B? It's key of E. The riff is quite intricate though, it's E to D where you keep the E note on the A string ringing, then E to F# to D.

Won't bet my balls on the actual key of the song, but to me the chord implied in the short riff after the the E D chords sounds a B to me, not an F#.

Will control later with a guitar in hand.

I saw a video (probably youtube Circa paris 2003). He said he liked the groove that he beat out on the tom-tom. There is a video of the performance also.
