BBC story.

Rolling Stones stars Sir Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood have joined Beverley Knight on a charity single in aid of victims of the Nepal earthquake.
The trio recorded Look Into Your Heart at Abbey Road studios, with Sir Mick on backing vocals and Wood on guitar.
It was produced by Pink Floyd's Nick Mason and will raise funds for Save the Children's Nepal Earthquake appeal.
The single also features a choir of 100 of the charity's supporters, who won the opportunity in a charity auction.
"The terrible events in Nepal show just how vulnerable our fellow man can be in the face of nature," said lead vocalist Knight.
"My hope is that the proceeds of this song will go some way to help raise urgently needed funds to repair homes and restore lives."
Wood said he was "delighted" to be able to help with the Nepal Appeal by featuring on the single, which is available to download on iTunes.
The earthquake on 25 April is now known to have killed more than 7,500 people and has injured more than 14,500.
More than 4,000 aid workers from around the world have been helping with relief and rescue operations.

Charity songs titles are not what they used to be! Does anyone know the song "Kill The Children, Save The Food"?

Yeah, with that and the you tube video up, free download sites to follow...trying to sell a song these days to raise money seems a pretty small gesture.

If musicians wanted to get serious about raising money for a cause, they should look to the same way they raise money for themselves...concerts.

Not to say this wasn't a noble idea....it's possible people will buy the tune just because they want to support the cause.. It will be interesting to see how much money this actually generates for Nepal.

peace

Did you try the youtube link I posted? It seems to be working for me through IORR and when I pasted the URL into a browser it pulled up at YouTube.

In answer to your questions, I think Ronnie's voice is heard towards the end singing the title phrase/chorus line once or twice. It happened so fast that I missed it but it sounded like him. Mick's voice may have been there as well. The guitar on the track could be Ronnie's and sounds fine. There's nothing that made me say "that's Ronnie" so it's hard to say. There's also a small bit of harmonica in the song that seems to be in Mick's style. Nothing special though.

The song itself? Not bad. I funky rocker that I can take or leave musically. I don't see me rushing out to buy it for my collection.

Peace,
Mr DJA

Ronnie played guitar on several tracks of Music City Soul, Beverley Knights' excellent soul/R&B album that also features a cover of Time Is On My Side and a couple of other soul classics.

We hear Mick loud and clear, especially in the middle of the track. Ronnie is blazing away and Mick plays a mean harp.

The chorus is dubious, but I liked the rest of it. Funky.

Sadly another major earthquake 7.4 in the same area today.

If you are doing well where you live today, and I hope you are, feel good about it.
