Heard that the Stones will probably be pushing the tune "SSMC" as the leadoff single.

Is "Jump On Top Of Me" officially released anytime?
That would suit as flip side, wont it?

I didn't think of it that way tomstones. But you're right. Maybe one of them double entendres..." she saw me coming and then she wiped it out of her eye..."hoho

actually i was taught that the standard is that only the noun *has* to be spelled "cum"; for the verb both "come" and "cum" are standard; and anyway did someone at the listening parties spell the titles? :E

Yes, Jump On Top Of Me was on the imported CD single of You Got Me Rocking with 2 dance remakes of YGMR. The cover is purple-ish with a devil character on it.

I can't wait to hear something new!!

Chelsea, you have been right before with the two song titles, "look what the cat dragged/drug in" and another one - it was also confirmed in the Sticky Fingers newsletter. So I tend to believe you - but now it would be interesting what the song is like!

The Stones have a long tradition of R-rated lyrics. If you start arbitrarily with Rocks Off from Exile and then move forward chronologically, that tradition includes Star Star, Short & Curlies (arguably If You Can't Rock Me, too), Some Girls, She's So Cold (OK, that's PG-rated), Start Me Up, Too Much Blood, Had It With You, I Go Wild and Sparks Will Fly --and I'm sure that I'm overlooking many other songs. Even though it's harder to be outrageous in 2005 than it was in the '70s and '80s, I'm guessing that the the new album will have a naughty lyric or two. Maybe it will even earn an explicit lyrics warning.

As far as R-rated lyrics, you're forgetting the scatological reference that centers Sweet Virginia.

And I seem to recall that Bitch wasn't released as a A-side, because it's title was too rough for radio back then! (Three years later Elton John would break that barrier on the Top 40 with his rather annoying The Bitch is Back)

When I was in college I did a shift at the radio station. On the label of the station's copy of Some Girls the program director had writeen "DO NOT PLAY!!!!" next to the title track!

add to that :
Little red rooster (double entendres, or do I just have a dirty mind?)
Satisfaction (a possible reference in the last version to menstrual cycles)
Parachute woman
Midnight Rambler (written in the persona of a rapist and murderer)
Stray cat blues (under age sex)
Let it Bleed
Honky Tonk women (still surprised that in '69, they allowed the line "for a ride")
Casino Boogie (explicit sexual language)
Comin' Down Again (a quite obvious reference to cunnilingus)
Everything is turning to gold
Little T&A
Dirty work (explicit language)
Thru & Thru (as above)
Too Tight (as above)

I'm confused: where is the smut in "Everyhting's turning to Gold"? Don't tell me we're talking about golden showers.

I can't believe that we're talking about this subject, or that I brought up the topic in the first place. But my guess is that Gazza is talking about the "love juice" referenced in Everything Is Turning to Gold. Not exactly R-rated, but I guess it belongs on the list.

But that's not really dirty, right? LOL We don't want to get too Tipper-Gore here.
It's like others have stated here: nowadays the Stones (epsecially Jagger) use certain words to sound naughty and radical. But today most of this comes off sounding more like a joke. There are times you can get much more dirty without using cusswords. Eg "slipped my tongue in someone else's pie." for CDA. As opposed to "now I got those @#$%& blues"in TAT.

Woody Allen - "...she asked me if I thought sex was dirty. I replied "only if you're doing it right.."

Probably about all the women in the STONES life, girlfriends and especially the wives, "who saw them coming," and grabbed the golden ring.

"Fuc the Rock babe, I want the Roll." (KR)

there are still other juicy obscene tunes to choose from too, like:

feel on baby, pretty beat up, all the way down, jump on top of me,sex drive, so young...as well as the early stuff like 'i'm a king bee.'

hey, wait a minute, these are some of my favorite tunes! I like the stones when they get down and dirty.

This will make a good lead off single. I'm one of the 2 fans who Don Was played this song to from his car stereo after the final night of mixing at Ocean Way Studios in L.A. on June 28th, which Bjornulf posted after I emailed him. I cannot remember specific lyrics or whether the song has a sexual meaning, but I think people will be happy with this song. I liked it more than Don't Stop. It's rocker, not a real fast tempo tune, but the guitars are strong on it and the jagger vocal is great.

In the sweet ole country where I come from the term "He/She/They saw me coming" is used as an expression to explain when you have been conned or taken for a ride. So maybe Mick is using it in the same sense...

Halup, you should be walking with a little extra bounce in your step these days. You are one of the few living beings on the planet at this time that have heard the songs in full.
