What are Lucky Dip tickets? The show up for $37.75, so are they all the way in the back?

UP high on the sides mostly, or way at the back. BUT, you get a chance to get upgraded to really good seats, at least you have in the past.

If you're low on dough, it is definitely better than missing the show altogether.

THE HIGH DOLLAR SEATS ON THE FLOOR WILL NOT SELL OUT...YOU MAY END UP THERE...

May?

I'm here now witha lawn chair...

Waiting for concessions and the Stones can't be long after

get off the stones lawn!

You know how old that makes the Stones sound?

Did anybody get Lucky Dips for Detroit? I tried it quite a lot yesterday, but nothing and now it says: sold out!

Here is an idea (although a bit too late)...I notice a number of venues are selling obstructed view seats in the P2 price range. These should be lucky dip tickets because IMHO those who pay almost $150 less than someone a few seats away, that may have to twist their head a bit, would have nothing legitimately to complain about.

On the official Stones site, it says "Lucky Dip Sold Out" for some venues, with a few (Columbus, Minneapolis, Nashville, Indianapolis) not saying "Sold Out", but no tickets available when hitting the links.

Keep checking back on Indy, lots of seats.

I could have bought LD for MPLS yesterday, you won't get a popup and there won't be a red line through LD and price.

isnt Indy technically the show that cant sell out? I suspect that those LD tix will be BRONZE...nothing else

Now says "Lucky Dip Sold Out" for Indy. Looks like they want to sell a few more of those $80 Bronze and $120 Silver g.a. tickets.

HA! Yup the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is a pretty big place. I am wondering how they will do all of the seats since there are no permanent seats that face in the direction of the stage. Its all open ground.

when you talk about upgrading, are you only referring to maneuvering around the venue and doing a self upgrade, or is there also some other kind of upgrade where you trade in your LD tix for higher priced better seats, or what?

I understand that LD are random seating, but since this show doesn't look like it has a "pit"...what would be the best case scenario for an LD'er ? somehere in the floor seating area? What was the case in Australia as this looks like the same/similar set up? Any input is appreciated!

I don't think Lucky Dip tickets are ever really sold out. They will reappear sporadically up to the actual day of the show...but you do have to constantly check for them at all times, day or night. On the last tour I kept getting 'sold out' for the longest time when one day they came up out of nowhere and I got them. I seem to recall refreshing the page several times before they turned up. Good luck.

You got Lucky Then...because in San Jose, Vegas and Chicago a few people had 2 sets of 2 and were only able to claim 1...maybe it depended on the venue and the Sold Out factor...They were not letting 4 in on 1 order....

3 rounds of 10 minutes waits... and on the 3rd wait they came up...

I had a different experience - In 2013, I bought 1 $85 LD from a Craigslist seller. He'd purchased 2 sets of 2 LDs for the same show. He sold his extra set to 2 guys outside the venue. All 4 of us were in line together. He gave his name, said he had 2 pairs, showed ID (it wasn't necessary to show the CC used for the purchase), and both pairs were given to him. All 4 of us were wristbanded and the whole thing was a breeze. It seems there were inconsistencies regarding how strictly the 1 pair policy was observed at the various venues.

I had 2 pairs both nights in Boston 2013 walked right in both nights and gave me all the tickets.

If you read the the Lucky dip policy, which I printed and brought with me.It does not mention anything about limits, just says they will be sold in pairs. I also printed this policy out and will bring with me to Milwaukee

Yes...sounds like it depends on the venue and people working that part of the program.....Kool, Enjoy the show !!!

the lucky dips are indeed a crapshoot.i used them for vegas on 50 and counting and we just sat in the back and relaxed.i'd already spent alot of money to be up close on that tour so i didnt care.besides, back of the house seats are better than not being there at all.

if you've never seen them or have only been to a couple of shows, spend the money-its the friggin stones.its not like you can see them whenever you want.

Actually wishing I did not get the Lucky Dips for my son. Thinking now I would have rater spent the extra money and got him a better than average seat so he could get the full Rolling Stones experience.

Well call it wrong or whatever the people in front of me were pulled out of the line and it was explained to them that it was a 2 person limit.

Same thing in San Jose, Chicago and now that I am thinking about it...it also happened in Oakland...It sounds to me like it is hit or miss ????? Wrong or whatever...I am sure you can talk to someone and work your way in....as these shows will not sell out anyway....

huh, kind of strange that at the same show some people were able to get in with more than two and others not, I don't doubt you, maybe it just depended on which particular agent you dealt with, funny

I think that's what it is, it depends on the agent or clerk at the window as some people probably follow the rule by the book and others kind of play it by ear. That is if there is even a rule to start with. Best of luck to everyone who is trying to get Lucky Dip tickets, whether one or pair or more. I haven't come close to getting any myself but I'll keep trying for Atlanta, lol.

There is a rule book, but I do not see it specifically saying there is a limit on how many pairs one is allowed to buy, just that they can not be sold.

And for what it is worth, ALL lucky dips are now closed, for now.
It will be interesting to see how they open/close these as tickets sales flow.

Was it ever answered why Buffalo did not have any lucky dips?

Le règles de heureux profond
LUCKY DIP

As a part of the general onsale, a limited number of tickets will be sold at $29.50 plus service charges. All Lucky Dip tickets will be sold as a pair. The ticket locations will be throughout the venue, including Side View Upper Level, and Field. You and your guest will find out your seat locations when you pick them up the night of the show.

We will be using strict anti-scalper measures to ensure that these tickets go to Stones fans and don’t end up on the resale market with wildly inflated prices. We appreciate your attention to the following, so that you have the best experience possible:

· You must pick up your tickets in person, along with your guest. Once you have the tickets in hand, you will be escorted into the venue. There will not be an opportunity to leave with your tickets before going into the show.

· Picture ID, your confirmation number, and the credit card used to make the purchase are required for pick-up. Without these things, you will not be able to pick up your tickets.

· If we suspect any reselling or transfer of these tickets they will be immediately voided and you will not be entitled to any refund.

Tell your lucky dip stories here
Date: April 14, 2015 06:05

Hi everyone,

I just purchased lucky dip tickets for my first Stones show at the Ohio Stadium in Columbus. I am so excited.. I cannot believe I am finally seeing them. My boyfriend and I couldn't afford to go, so it was a lovely surprise when my friend texted me in the morning telling me that lucky dips went on sale! Anyway, I would love to hear all Lucky Dip successes and "unlucky dip" stories, post them here if you please smiling smiley

Well, mine is not a good one, because I was a guinea pig. I got 'Lucky Dips' to the very first arena show of the 2013 North American tour. I ended up with obstructed view, nosebleeds. And since I didn't have the experience of other lucky dippers on this board, I didn't know to go complain at guest services and they might move you to much better seats. I suffered through about half of the concert before I maneuvered my way to a better view. That, and the really sub par lazy concert was my kiss good bye for Stones concerts. I would probably never see them again unless they did something miraculous like get Taylor and Wyman to tour with them, and find an interesting new piano player.
