Yes...as long as the cardholder picks up the tix. After that, you can do whatever you want w/ them.
not exactly. You have to walk in to the stadium with your tickets, you cant give them away or re-sell them. Only the person that bought them can use them, with 1 guest.

They strongly suggest you can't leave, but I got mine in toronto and walked right back out into the outside..."hey, hey, where are you going, you can't...." yea, right. I had upgraded on the secondary market and wanted to see what I'd end up with the LD. They were nosebleed, so I sold them outside at 50% the cost i paid

No luck for me with the Lucky Dip tickets, spent 2 hours refreshing and entering secret codes and nothing ever came up. Will try tomorrow perhaps.

Check back a day or 2 before the concerts, they will probably open more tickets up once they get the stage set up. That's what they did in 2013, we bought 2 tickets the day before the Staples opener, after it had been sold out, and ended up in $600 VIP tickets. So don't give up, keep checking.

For the opener at Staples for the last tour, I scored lucky dip tickets the day of the show for $62.00 a piece. They were $600 VIP seats on the side of the stage with a private bar. Awesome show and great deal. Though…it's all a crapshoot.

So, for those who have done this lukcy dip before, is there ANY method to getting an upgrade?
Does getting there early for your tickets help at all, or is it completely random?

It is completely random.

its random, but you can go to guest services and bargain with them once you get in, if you have bad seats. some places are more willing ot work with you than others. people skills help :-) Find out where the guest services location is before you go to the show.

Also they typically have their people in the hallways handing out upgrades, although I think that works better if you have good looking ladys with you...i know in my case when we got upgraded to the pit it was due to my wife and my 21 niece being with me, it sure as hell wasnt because of me. Just read through the board and be patient.

Has anyone ever got a LD ticket that was a good seat before trading up?

It is totally random, you go to a special will-call window, show them your ID, they hand you a blank white envelope, which you can't even open up outside, then they escort you into the venue. The people handing them out don't even know where the seats are. It is all Luck!

A lot of good seats in the $600 section were given out for that first Staples show. The only person I know who ended up in nosebleeds was first in line to receive the tickets.

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I scored a VIP level LD for Staples center last tour opener. That was what was given to me at the door when I checked in.

There is definitely no gaurantee you can trade up. It completely depends on the venue and a variety of other factors.

We were about 10th in line that day. Some people got pit tickets, some nose bleed. We were the only people in there for a while. We got to walk thru the Lexus Club to our seats too. Just to the left of the stage, 4 rows up. They must have held the Clipper Season Tickets for those people, but when the basketball game got moved, so did the concert. I think that is how we were so lucky. Remember when Jack Nicholson walked in? I loved the UCLA band marching in too.

Yes! We did! We had decent seats for Kansas City section 103 row 6. Then thought I would take a chance and ended up getting the lucky dip tickets. Not sure what I'm going to do now!

Not talking about about you, but if someone, anyone is planning on buying bronze tickets for Indy, it is an pass/fail IQ test about wether or not to buy the Lucky Dip tickets instead, even if the person is going alone, the choice is obvious.

$29.50 this is nearly a free tix.

I remember, I bought on ebay a tix for the show in my hometown at the A Bigger Bang Tour for only 20,00 Euro. I was standing right after the front-of-stage area in the middle.

Does anyone have a direct link for Milwaukee Lucky Dip?

your favorite band's website had one – but LP tickets for Milwaukee seem to be sold out

You don't need to explain this. I'm just curious if anybody's saved direct link for Milwaukee Lucky Dip as they might always add more tickets closer to show date... Sad that we didn't get any email about Lucky Dip offer going on sale at the same time as regular tix... I believe it's first time the Lucky Dips went on sale this early.

not true, got the $85 Lucky Dip tix (not called that then) for vegas in 2013 when all tix first went on general public sale. Got two pair, in fact, and sold a single to a guy from IORR who met me at the gig.

This question is for anyone who has had experience with the LD. past sales. Some
Shows such as Minnesota and Detroit seem to be sold out of Lucky Dips. Do they
ever go back on sale? Has this happened in the past. This is a very generous
offer. I picked up two for KC.
