Columbus had 59k fans...I hope you are correct, but that would be a very surprising.
i don't know if they could get 59k into Comerica. only holds 42k i think for baseball. lol
get down EARLY . a lot bars in the area have shuttle buses. shouldn't be too bad if you get down there early. I have heard $100 parking mentioned but I think that's not going to be reality. $20 to $25

I might Periscope Band 2 at the DSO on Tuesday night - the concert starts at 10pm EDT. I will Periscope the Stones on Wednesday night in Comerica Park.

A few friends and I are dining at Union Street before Band Two on Tuesday night - around 7:30-8pm - if you want to join us. Union Street is about two blocks of the DSO's Max Fisher Theater at 4145 Wodward Ave.

I find it a bit amusing that "small personal cameras are allowed but all audio and video recording is prohibited". Probably just a stock phrase and policy but it's silly in light of all the audio and video recording and live streaming that will be done with all those small personal cameras and smart phones.
Detroit crowds are awesome in my experience, those people love their rock and roll. I hope the Stones deliver a good one because the audience will be more that welcoming and receptive.

Longtime lurker, first time poster. In Detroit for the Band 2 show tonight and will be at Comerica tomorrow. I'm also here for work and my schedule is a little up in the air, but hoping to try and catch one of the Glimmer Gatherings. Have to echo the sentiments from others on Detroit crowds being great. I've caught a few different shows while here for work and am always impressed.
Also, if you're looking to explore an area outside of downtown...Corktown is a fun area of Detroit to check out. Great eating and drinking...Gold Cash Gold, The Sugar House, Slow's BBQ. There's also a cool vodka distillery & tasting room with locally-produced vodka - Our Detroit.

The only seats available are obstructed view and some of the $350 ones. It's pretty much a sell out.
