I would be careful staying at any of the hotels on Banksville Road. They are only a couple miles from the stadium and the area is not bad at all but these hotels are often in the news and it is never for a good reason. I can walk to the Days Inn from my house and I would never think to recommend it to anyone.

Any idea where Tim Ries Rolling Stones Project will play in Pittsburgh?

Most hotels offer free shuttles to and from the show, just ask. I just booked a room at the Crowne Plaza downtown, expensive for 2 nights but hey....that's the least of my worries. No tix yet. I want to be in the lower lever, one level off the floor. Does anyone have an extra ticket to sell? I'll be right back with the section I'd like. OK, sections 135, 136, 137 or 108, 109, 110. Have hotel downtown already booked, but to save money we're now thinking of staying Mt. Washington, take incline down to Gateway Clipper and to show..

Any locals know of decent hotel/motel near top staitons of inclines? Thx

Thanks for this - Ticketmaster allowed us to upgrade from row 38 to row 7 in F5. Tickets were the same price. They wouldn't let me upgrade a couple of weeks ago but must have changed or a I got an agent who was able to do it. Worth a try if you're thinking about it.

No hotels on Mt. Washington. I still say to check out this hotel, it's only been open since December. Public transportation known as "The T" has a station behind the hotel and down a half block. "The T" will get you to the North Shore station which is about 50 yards from Heinz field.

I'm in sec 208 row C but thinking of trying to upgrade.... Really don't want to plunk down the extra cash but the thing I am most worried about is being in a lively, standing up section. Normally the closer you're to the stage everyone is up....I Must be standing and dancing at a Stones show (wife too)...Once at Giants stadium in 06 nobody was standing in these horrible nosebleed seats I had and it was just not the same

Yesterday after Columbus I realized I really wanted to see them again. Thus, I just spontaneously bought field seats for Pittsburgh. See you there

I do have an extra ticket, which I have listed on ebay below face.
The buy it now option is at face value, so I am not trying to make money off of anyone....just offering a 10th row F2 seat.

I just read a thread on the Shidoobee With Stonesdoug board, authored by crossfirehurricane, entitled "IMPORTANT: BAG POLICIES". I'm not sure if it's OK to post the link here or not, but one can easily find it. I suggest reading the initial post and the replies. There is a lot of important info there. It seems that the policy pertaining to what people can bring in to Heinz Field is very strict and limiting - details here: [heinzfield.com]

Row 11 appears to be gone but that Sec 5 4th row seat for face value still there, hope a fan grabs it!

Quick question, does anybody have a general idea on how close to showtime rehearsals begin? I understand time zones obviously vary, so if you could give a time frame of 'three hours before gates' or something like that, I'd be very appreciative.

Is the Wyndham Grand Downtown walking distance to Heinz Field? Or is The Renaissance a better option? I am considering adding this show on. Thanks!

Wyndam is closer and I believe there is a bridge walkway that will get you there over the water. Renaissance is across the bridge from PNC park.

Thank you for that link. I usually carry a fanny pack to all concerts. But I guess now I'll have to find something else. Is this the same for all stadiums? What about Ralph Wilson Stadium?

Who else is staying at the Omni William Penn? How far is it from Heinz Field? Does Pittsburgh have a hop on hop off bus tour like Philadelphia does? I would love to do a bus tour of the city. How far away is the airport to Omni William Penn?

Holy Cow....well I learned my lesson.

I am putting this ticket up one more time....it's now at 200.00, which is half price...I hope a Stones fan gets it from me...well one will eventually...because if it doesn't sell this time, it becomes a give away at the local bar....and maybe I can run a fun contest or something.
