Im planning to attend the Orlando show, I live is Oslo, Norway, so it will be my first time where I flying alone over to USA.
Anyone else going for this show? Anyone have any tips for hotels ?

For me also the first time I fly alone to Orlando. I am flying from Holland and also seek information about hotels.

Not many hotels close to the stadium. The Grand Bohemian is downtown and fabulous, but expensive. Are you planning on staying and visiting Disney and Universal? Thousands of hotels around that area.If you want something different, try Park Plaza Hotel in nearby Winter Park. You are likely going to need to rent a car to get around. You might want to see where the VIP package folks are staying ...

For hotels, try: Comfort Suites Downtown
Doubletree
Courtyard Orlando Downtown
Downtown Orlando Marriott
Aloft Orlando Downtown
Crowne Plaza Orlando Downtown
Best Western Colonial Drive
These are all in the downtown area, which is the closest safe area to the stadium.

For the fans traveling to Orlando, it is hot and humid in June, so pack lightweight clothing. Also it rains often so pack a poncho or hooded light jacket. Dont forget your swimsuits, you will want to cool off! Visit the attractions and it will be a fun trip. The Stones are going to be hot, literally!

My father having his 60 birthday, so gave him a ticket to the Orlando show. He is a huge fan and finally I can suprise him with a ticket. See you all there. We are flying in 10th June.

I recommend to ioorians attending this concert to check out Cocoa Beach. The drive 0n 520 crossing the Indian and Bananna Rivers is scenic. The beaches are great in that area.

Concerning the concert, BitchkeepsBitchin is correct abot the lightweight plastic jacket with hood. If it does rain, it will be brief.

I do not know what impact lightning strikes will have on the event.

Anyone has a hotel to recommend in Orlando? Where do Stones fans stay?

If you are planning on walking to the stadium from your close by hotel, be warned that the area is a tough one. Use cation and common sense. As for hotels, my suggestion would depend on whether you're renting a car or pairing up with others to try to get to the show. Public transportation to the venue is sparse if any. I prefer staying near the airport which is a quick 10-15 minute drive from the
Bowl. There are a wide range of prices and if you do some homework, I think
that you can make a decision that you'll be happy with whether you're
looking to save some $$$ or not.

I live in the area and, believe me, the stadium is not a "quick 10 to 15 minute drive" from the airport (assuming you mean OIA and not the executive airport for private planes). On a Friday night, with construction on I-4 and the typical weekend jams, you should anticipate at least 30 to 45 minutes. Maybe more.
That said, I agree that walking to the stadium is not an option. For major events like this concert, though, the City may well set up shuttle bus service.
As for hotels, if there is one thing Orlando has plenty of, it's hotels.

I live within walking distance of the stadium and I wouldn't walk there.

My friends and I are making a Disney weekend of it (shame Pirates of the Caribbean is closed at Magic Kingdom), staying closer to Lake Buena Vista, than Orlando proper (additionally rooms are slightly cheaper).

We're planning on Tailgating pre-show (and probably post since Orlando traffic is ridiculous).

I am very excited to see the Stones.

Concerning parking, tickets are available for multiple Citrus Bowl lots at a fee of $20, thru Ticket Master which is nominal.

As far as walking from a parking lot to the stadium I wouldn't worry too much about neighborhood crime as there will be thousands and thousands of Stones fans on site and of course Police, and other folks as well.

I can take you right up on stage providing the crew builds a ramp. Couldn't get a ticket meself, so maybe youd let me park sidestage and watch from the windscreen, eh? Oyi!
