Already have reservations at the Georgian Terrace - a beautiful old hotel (the Gone With The Wind stars stayed there!) across the street from the Fox Theatre and walking distance from the stadium. Hope to see you there!

Hope to see you too, Elmo... Although Nashville is my most likely show to attend, there's a good chance I may get to Atlanta instead. 190 miles from home on a Tuesday night three days before my birthday seems do-able. Seems strange, in these days of "small tours" to actually have option anxiety over which show(s) to attend.

Whoohoooo, ROLLING STONES in Atlanta. I along with my better half will be there for sure, not sure where we will stay, maybe the Terrace, will check it out.

I will make the trip to Atlanta from Germany. Really excited to see them again this year after last year in Rome. :-)

Haven't booked a room yet. Walking distance, beautiful old hotel - the georgian terrace sounds like a nice place.

I will go for Atlanta & Orlando at least. Probably Nashville & Pittsburgh as well Will travel by myself from Sweden, first time in the US to see the best band ever

Good food in Atlanta! Try Merry Mac's on North Ponce De Leon Street.
Been there forever...fine Southern food and fair prices.

Also, the legendary Varsity Drive-in. Good burgers, fries etc. with a charming bunch of folks waiting to take your order.

Thanks Stonesrule for the heads up on Merry Mac's, will have to try that for sure. Been to Varsity several times as well.

Highly recommend the Glenn and the Ellis for hotels. Great places to stay. I hope to see yall in the a-t-l!

Yes I was at the Fox Theatre on March 22 for the Publix Marathon that starts in downtown at the CNN building across from Olympic Park Village. We ran by Georgia Tech where the stadium is for the concert. Dylan and Stevie Nicks are playing the Fox Theatre in April.

Dang, still waiting for the stadium seating chart for Atlanta. Thought it would be out by now but no such luck I guess.

What about the price levels? I need to know that BEFORE the tickets go on sale so that I can collect everyone's money beforehand.

Personally, I find it inspiring to see all the folks coming from overseas to catch the shows! If any of you travelers- particularly if you are from Europe, tho it's not a geo-limitation, would like to hang out before the shows, or possibly need any pointers to help get you going in the right direction, maybe some advice on local sites/eats/etc - feel free to send me a PM to open a discussion if you are coming to Atlanta. I hope to visit Europe in the next year or two, so meeting people who live in or near interesting places would be rewarding for me on many levels.

There's lots of folks on this board who are very open and helpful. I just like meeting new people, especially hardcore Stones freaks. We gotta stick together.

I'm thinking I might do this show over Nashville. I'm about equal distance away from both.

Can any of the locals recommend a parking area with easy access to I 75N? Maybe some place near the Varsity. I do not mind walking up to a mile if I can avoid most of the post concert traffic and get right out after the show. Thanks.

Crowne Plaza is going to be your typical cater-to-the-businessman hotel, not that there's anything wrong with that. Close-by there is the Georgian Terrace (see Elmo's post above), or Hotel Indigo... both are in the same area near the Fox Theatre and might bring a little more 'style' I guess... they're all approx 1/2 mile from Bobby Dodd.

While I'm at it I can recommend a few music venues in Atlanta... Northside Tavern, The EARL, and Fat Matt's Rib Shack. All are within 5 miles of Bobby Dodd.
