The Padres offic told me emphatically there will be no more tickets sold by them and no box office to buy tickets on the day of show. They said all available tickets are on the secondary market sad smiley

Re: Start Me Up Experience

Spoke with Brad in Padres office today (I think our contact has been out for some reason), and he said they would be sending out our tickets and info in priority mail, sounded like this week (fyi, that is how they send out the Padre Season Ticket stuff too). We won't be getting the lanyards until we go to reception (makes sense to prevent duplication). More information will be in packets. I asked him to clarify for me the number of rows in front sections A-3 to A-6, and he said 30 rows. So that is good for us as we are in row 2 of A-12. So a good view of the satellite stage with only 1 row of people in front of us. Will let you all know when that packet arrives. I am going on a trip to Sedona the week before the concert, returning the 23rd, so want this all handled well before I leave.

thumbs up

I was scoping out for someone I know who is still looking.
I had scored 2nd row in A8 during pre-sale for $175..

But with the demand for this show, I bet these all go before too long.

Kurt,

Thanks for the link to the Padres' Platinum tickets. You can't find it on the regular home page. I bought a pair of tickets in 122, row 4. They were double face value but way less than comparable seats on the secondary market. I just couldn't take the risk of waiting any longer.

I'm going to the concert!smiling bouncing smiley

Woohoo! Walking over to Petco today to pick up our tickets! My contact there said that the show is supposed to start at 9:00, sounded like there may be a warm up act? But not sure. Entry at 6 pm. Will give you details after I see the info sheet.

Has anyone confirmed how many seats across in the two front center floor sections: A4 and A5? The charts I've seen show 14 seats, but earlier in this thread there was a screenshot of a ticket order showing a seat #15 in one of those sections, so?

Have tickets for Concert/SMU Experience/Parking Pass in hand! SMUE is from 6-8:30, concert starts at 9. Premiere Club is on Padres Field Level (not on the actual field but on the section of Padre seats called Field Level). Looks like parking may open at 5 pm.

So!!!! Where are we all going to meet? After will probably work for us best, as we plan on being in line early. Remember that there is metal detector & bag screening, so getting in will take a while! Plan on getting in line early.

Kurt, thank you for posting that link to "Platinum" SD tickets. I wonder how you found it and why that is not linked to any official Stones or Padres web page (at least I could not find that page without your help). It appears they are occasionally adding more seats to that "Platinum" website. As of now, they list floor seats from $225 to $629, although when just checking the tickets, I would get a "not available at this time" message, which I believe means someone is looking at them and they will either be purchased within 10 minutes or be released back into the pool.

Earlier today, I found seats 1 & 2 in A3, Row 2 for $1,232 each. That's a lot of money, but I wanted great seats for this concert, so I bought them. They should be on the aisle next to center section A4; so I'm thinking it will be hard to find better value outstanding seats. But you never know - in general, for stadiums, it pays to be patient. I was thinking that later, I might find seats in A4/A5 first ten rows for a lower price, but with the way SD is going, I made the decision to grab those seats now.

If you want floor seats, it might pay to periodically check that link.

I'm currently seeing:

Section A1 (far left) row 23 seats 7 & 8 - $264 each.

Section A8 (far right) row 23 seats 11 & 12 - $629 each.

Wonder why A8 is way more expensive - because it's Keith's side? lol

Seatgeek has 50 rows shown on their map, you're right 2014Slayer..

But the highest ticket they have for sale in A3 for example is Row 38, which is what the venue map(s) show.. They just show a generic type map with more rows, but they don't exist is my take.

Seatgeek is now showing tickets available in row 40 for Sections A1 - A8

That is weird as Petco just told me again today that there are 30 rows in the front sections. This is troubling.

Stubhub is showing tickets in Sec A4 row 35 (at $2,995.25 eye popping smiley ), so perhaps the person you talked to at Petco is misinformed.

Well we will find out when we get there. This has all been such an education on the fluidity of ticket sales.

this was posted in another thread but maybe it should be here too.

Visiting cool music stores in other cities is always fun.
And I will add, if you do buy a bunch of cool stuff (too much stuff like I sometimes do) you might consider stopping by a post office next and shipping the items back home versus carrying them around, especially if you are a carry on (luggage on a plane) like I am. The post office has a lot of good, free packaing supplies if you use priority mail. Their "flat rate" boxes can be a bargain. Just make sure you pack your loot well, maybe buy some record mailers, etc.

And there is a post office at 8th & E in San Diego, within walking distance of Petco and Gaslamp hotels.

Keith's side has been considerably more expensive throughout the whole sales process! I hope Ronnie isn't too offended. winking smiley But obviously a sign of just how seriously the promoters are taking the demand/profit maximizing aspect of sales. It is a bit strange they are banking on increased demand to be close to individual band members...

peace
