I can see the headlines now...Rolling Stones Show Sells Out in 5 Minutes.
I'm not sure what to think about this online ticket sale. I believe the ones who made the effort to get their butts to the venue from miles away should have first crack at the tickets.
I can just imagine some secondary ticket seller with a bank of fast computers and bots ready to pounce on this one. If I see tickets of StubHub for $10,000 this afternoon I'll be bummed.
peace

I'm sitting and waiting with five devices to log on to RS.com. The internet speed here is zipping. I'm alone, I only need one ticket I'll probably give the second one away, if I score. I wouldn't sell my ticket for any amount of money.

What I'm hoping that I hear about is some IORRian on the east coast (or significantly outside of LA anyway) who buys tickets at 12:00 pdt, hops a plane at 1:00 pdt, lands around 7:00 pdt and is able to make it to the Fonda theater in time. Nothing against all of the dedicated people hanging around LA. I just think it would be cool to hear the story of someone who's crazy enough to make the above scenario play out. Note: It won't be me.
Peace,
Mr DJA

Can someone record the broadcast and post it tomorrow? I can't be up at 3:00 AM here in Europe because I have to go to work tomorrow very early.

Yeah that's a good storyline but even more dedicated are the ones like onlystones who hop a plane to get to the site without the slightest guarantee of success. Hope he gets in and gives his extra ticket to another IORR member.

I'm in Hollywood. I will be on my laptop at noon. If I don't get in the show, it's still very exiting to be in town for this historic Rolling stones event ! I even tweeted to #stickyfingers and they posted it ! Good luck to all IORR who are here !

For those serious about flying in; Burbank is definitely a faster drive to the Fonda as LAX is, especially if you are renting a car.
car rental at LAX will add at least 45 mins to your time and then you have a 45 minute drive
If you get into Burbank, it's a shorter drive (and faster as you're heading south against traffic) and car rental is much, much quicker.
I would imagine uber or a cab are cheaper from Burbank as well;
i'm thinking Burbank to Fonda is about 8-9 miles and LAX to Fonda is more like 13 miles

right but both are 9.400 kilometers away form me… thus four or five miles more or less don't really matter…

I'm in Pittsburgh and going to try for tickets. Southwest gets me at LAX around 830. Gotta get tickets first.
