I leave my stubs at a friend's grave.

My smaller shows:

Capital Theatre, NJ
Tower Theatre, PA
Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Roseland Ballroom
Beacon Theatre
Radio City

Roseland, that must have been cool. Saw Chuck Berry there once

it was, but mostly men and 30% left after less than an hour (work night for the execs...)

Good thing it's a photo of Stones tickets from shows that have passed...

Still...wish someone could tell me how to post a photo here.

Once you "get it" it is very easy, but it has to be done exact.
You are not the first person to have issues with this, so dont feel bad.
I like to help people out, especially with pictures... pictures are fun.

To post pictures you have to copy them from your computer to one of the
free internet picture hosting site like [imgur.com] or [tinypic.com] or [photobucket.com]

Once your picture is on the internet you post it here
by placing the image location between two brackets.
[ i m g ] image location [ / i m g ]
do not use spaces between the letters
I have to put the spaces in to make it show up.

You can practice without uploading by finding and using a cool picture on the internet,
1)select the pic,
2)Put your cursor above it
3)right click to "copy image location",
4)paste the image location between the brackets [ i m g ] PICTURE [ / img ]
Do not add the extra spaces. It is a lot easier to do than write.

The official IORR explaination is here [www.iorr.org]
scroll down to the official How to publish a picture on the IORR forum pages.

==========================

As someone pointed out be sure to NOT post any critical info
like your name, your phone number etc... or any info like the bar code.
Simply frame the picture properly so the that info is cut off.

Thank you very much! Sadly, I don't know anything about imgur/photobucket/etc. so I'll end up passing on sharing photos. What I have here in my office is a photo a friend took of all my Stones tickets. They are in sort of a collage with wrist bands here & there. There are about 40 tickets, so it makes for a nice photo with all the colors & such (UK 1999 tickets are quite pretty with the lion & the Holland Licks tickets are sort of rainbow colored). Someone here posted something about taking a picture of all their ticket stubs...so that is sort of what this is.

I have a photo of my Stones tickets on my wall here at work...but I don't know how to post here. I see there is something for "insert image url" but do not know how to use that...I just have a picture saved on my desktop (copy/paste does not seem to work here).

careful SD... i read somewhere that ticket counterfeiters can work from a picture if they have your bar code.

X2 this happened to a poster on the Pink Floyd fan site on the 2010 The Wall Tour tickets. If they see your bar code it's off to counterfeit land.

If they want to use my old Shepherds Bush Empire ticket to try to go to that show...they can have at it. Maybe they can use my Vredenburg or Wiltern ticket image to try to go to those gigs too...good luck!

sounds like u have been to a lot of theater shows. was vrendenburg a theater show too?

plexi

Vredenburg: [www.iorr.org]

Was front row Ronnie side (and thus right in front of Mick for Worried About You). This was really a special gig...but the Wiltern is my all time favorite show...that was just really special and my experience was special too. Shep Bush is the only other small show I went to...that was just unbelievable (I have the t-shirt made for that gig too). Charlie was absurdly good...and Shattered (opening number) was almost a punk song it was driven so hard. Charlie put a stick through the snare drum on it.

Ahoy felt like a club the stage was so low...I'll never forget that night. Opening night in Oakland 1999 was like a religious experience. The setlist just felt unbelievable...song after song after song of greatness (the weird cage Mick danced in for Out Of Control was even slightly entertaining).

Great reviews on the link you posted! You all make me really want to try and see a rehearsal or club show for the first time.

Wish they'd surprise us in Alaska just once (They've played Hawaii haven't they??)

Snoopy- They've played Hawaii haven't they??

They have.
I guess Alaska is just a tough place to get to.
Do you have a lot of big tours that do come up there?

I don't know if they came off actual big tours, but the performers have been fairly well known:

KISS, James Brown, Elton John, George Clinton, Snoop Dog, Jack White, EmmyLou Harris, John Prine, CAKE, Cracker, Ween, G. Love, Wilco, off top of my head.

Many acts stop over on their way to or from Japan.

Other than 8+ months of winter, a lack of big name concert acts is one of the few drawbacks to living there.

Where is this from? The Quebec postal code is definitely nowhere near the concert, I think it should be G1R 2L3.

ohotos, good observation.
i put the above together myself. the postal code is for the festival heaquarters, which is not too far from the stage in the park.

The Beatles - Anna.

A song originally done by Arthur Alexander. Link below.

Even the Stones covered him, but a different song.

Arthur:

And the late great Willy DeVille even covered him:

If you haven't gotten into Arthur Alexander - or Willy DeVille - treat yourself.

Mick pays homage to Bobby Keys in an interview with Dave Paulson of The Tennessean:

Also tying "Sticky Fingers" to Nashville: the unmistakable saxophone of the late Bobby Keys. The band's longtime sideman called the Nashville area home for more than 20 years, and died in December after a lengthy illness. Jagger called Keys "a really big guy for us in the band."

"He's going to be really missed. It's the first time we're touring in America without him. It'll be sad not to have him there, but he'll be with us there. We're thinking of him."

It would be really cool to have one of Bobby's saxophones on tour with them this tour, on a stand at stage right, occasionally spotlighted in memory and to honor the man and his SF contribution. I can see it now, lights out, single spotlight on the lone sax...another man done gone.....intro bars to I Got The Blues start playing.

peace

I disagree with your characterization of the tour. This is not the last cash grab.
