No lucky dips on Buffalo!! It's always something isn't it?

THE LUCKY DIP

As a part of the general onsale, a limited number of tickets will be sold at $29.50 plus service charges. All Lucky Dip tickets will be sold as a pair. The ticket locations will be throughout the venue, including "Side View Upper Level", and "Field". You and your guest will find out your seat locations when you pick them up the night of the show.

We will be using strict anti-scalper measures to ensure that these tickets go to Stones fans and don't end up on the resale market with wildly inflated prices. We appreciate your attention to the following, so that you have the best experience possible:
+ You must pick up your tickets in person, along with your guest. Once you have the tickets in hand, you will be escorted into the venue. There will not be an opportunity to leave with your tickets before going into the show.
+ Picture ID, your confirmation number, and the credit card used to make the purchase are required for pick-up. Without these things, you will not be able to pick up your tickets.
+ If we suspect any reselling or transfer of these tickets they will be immediately voided and you will not be entitled to any refund.

Wow, that is cheap indeed! The pricing is really a lot more spread out than in 2014, a good thing if you're a casual fan who can't really be bothered where you'll be seated, not so much if you're a crazy IORRian who'd like to sit on the stage ;-)

Leonioid- Perhaps we should stand in front of the venue with one of those doubled-sided big signs on our chest & backs that say something like that! If free doesn't quite work maybe have it say "Will Work For Good Seats" !
I like it!!!
"WILL CHEER, LOOK GREAT AND BE ENTHUSIASTIC FOR TICKETS!!"
pick us!! pick us!! Willing to contract out for mutliple shows.

LOL hey, no problem, I can cheer & be enthusiastic quite easily. The "Look Good" part- well...I guess that'd be in the eyes of the beholder...but I'd try my best!

Many pages ago there was a post by bv I think it was stating that there's usually always people out front of a venue the day before or day of the event trying to sell tickets and also that StubHub often rents out a hotel room nearby as a temp office to sell last minute tickets, which prompted me to quote:

"Have You Seen Your Ticket Seller, Baby, Standing In The Shadow?"

'Cos I wouldn't be afraid of shadows if I was on a mission for a good seat. I'm brave that way. smiling smiley

My biggest concern re. buying off the street would be how do you know if it's a legitimate, non-counterfeit ticket?

You ask the seller to go to the box office or gate with you to have the tickets scanned and if they refuse you don't buy from them. I have done this and it worked no problem. The other way is to find someone going in to the Stadium trying to sell an extra seat. If they are going in most likely they are not selling fake tickets.

From experience with recent Stones Stadium shows I think there will be plenty of people selling real tickets in the parking lots at or below face value before the show so there should no lack of opportunities to buy seats for these shows.

If you are nervous buying from strangers most likely they will have good seats available at the box office day of show. Of course you may have to pay face value but at least you know you will get real tickets.

This is very good advice. I remember seeing those pained faces of all the people (I don't know exactly how many, but it looked like a couple hundred people) who had bought fake tickets for the second O2 show in 2012. Some had bought from Craigslist and others had bought from touts at the station. Safest secondary transaction is stubhub or EBay with a seller that has a long transaction history.

Got Lucky Dips for Detroit.

Nothing good coming up for Buffalo. FOS 10th row or less that is.

Don't be frustrated if you don't get them immediately. As I recall they would "drop" lucky dip tix prior to the show. As I recall you have to be checking constantly; I suppose that might not work for some people.

With Raleigh it showed me sold out and then I kept refreshing and finally got it

I'm thinking about getting Lucky Dip. Anyone worried about the time it might take to actually acquire the tickets for a stadium show? I would hate to still be in line when the show is starting.

There shouldn't be a problem. I did lucky dip at their last show in Auckland.

You have to go to a specific gate, but will have plenty of time

In Europe I had LD for Oslo and Zurich and only got in line, which was less than 10 people, about an hour before gig.

We got our tix in an envelope and knew as soon as I opened it they were good seats on side of stage.I knew what blocks were good and which were towards rear of arena.

Good to hear positive reviews of Lucky Dip in other stadiums. I guess my concern would be if the show I'm going to is not selling well then the number of Lucky Dip tickets available could be overwhelming in order to pack the house.

Total cost 2 tix for Columbus Ohio would have been about $74 and about $85.50 for Detroit.

Not a bad deal to see The Rolling Stones.

Man, that is so cool of the Stones to sell the Lucky Dip tickets for only $29.00 each, which at least gets you into the venue and from there no matter what where your ticket says you can use concert ninja tactics to get what you need.

I have no complaints what so ever about the Rolling Stones, they are doing it right.

No intention of going to the States but was curious as to what I could bring up. Had Nashville open a few minutes before tickets went on sale, got on straight away, selected best available. Absolutely nothing came up whatsoever, I hope you've all had good luck.

Same thing here with Nashville, no tickets available each time I click.

Either the rest of the tickets have not been released, or the VAST majority of good tickets went to the presale or insiders. I am pulling nothing but $350 in the sectiosn furthest from the floor, $188s in the far corners, and $188s in the club levels very far back.
