Any news about it so far???

The fanclub DVD is a good running gag.

It will be great, including the Live 8 appearance of the Stones with
backstage footage of the event.

Just recieved my copy of "According To..." At least they're making good on that.

ive given up waiting for the bloody thing..i was told we would receive it in the first year of membership..thats up now..read my coments on the stones site under voodoolounge02

We all live in hope.

I queried it after joining in April & was first told I'd get it after attending a show.

As that won't be till next year I complained.

Now they say sometime during the tour - I'll hold my breath on that one.

i think the book offer, and extended membership was a reasonable olive branch, but someone's either seriously @#$%& up, or we've been deceived. it would be nice if they could just come clean with their fans, and stop dicking everyone around.

It should be sent out around July 1st as it's said on rs.com (2005??) But it's also said that it only will be sent out when the tickets have been bought in order to prevent sending CDs and after that people will cancel the membership.

that doesn't make sense - i havn't bought ticks but I've paid my m'ship so what do they care? they've got my money now irrespective? or am I missing something?

i agree with tom petty..it dont make sense, i joined a year ago. and was told would receive dvd in my first year of membership.so its now 13 months since ive joined.i cant see whats it got to do with concert tickets.i dont think they thought this through.and the dvd wasnt even ready to send, and a year later still not ready.anyhow roll on the tour, i still love my boys.

slight difference. That book has been out for two years.

The DVD never existed.

Keep in mind that this tour they are offering a full refund if you want it on your membership if you do not buy tickets. I am sure they don't want to be sending out the posters and DVD's to people that decide later that they want a full refund. That is probably why they are saying they will send it out to you after you buy your tickets.

Agreed. I didn't buy the book when it came out, so I feel like I got something out of the deal besides the chance to get goods tickets. Haven't begun reading it yet. What's your opinion of the book?

the book is a good read - i've got 2 now! the thing that shits me about the fan club, DVD etc, is that they used it as some sort of hook to get people over the line - I think it did exist at some point but they pulled it, to as I understand, enhance the content somewhat. Someone's making a @#$%& career out of changing the content it seems - I think they will redeem themselves if they include the full press conference + tracks, + rehearsal footage, + real bootleg / outtake stuff, like Neocon etc. a few less of the same old @#$%& quotes Keith trots out every tour would be good

The IDEA may have indeed existed, but the DVD never did. I doubt it'll ever happen

Its beginning to sound a bit like the 'hook' to get people to join due to the promise of pre-sales for theatre shows...

Didn't they rumble out some possible tracks (seem to remember there was a track promised from Bangalore) as the disc originally seemed to be a Licks thing.

Now it's a 2005 tour thing they have to start collecting footage again from scratch, providing of course it does happen.
