Whatever the article says, that entire verse has been left out since 1975.
that is incorrect

Look up any live 1975 performance - he skips it. Paris 1970 he didn't sing it either.

That is what I meant, which appears to be a fact, but it turns out he cut it out before then even.

Here it is in '98 Bridges (3:54).
I think this may be the tour that one of the Kennedy's respectfully requested he not play it while they were in attendance.
That's my bet, but we'll likely never know.

Lol.
Apparently I'm quoted in the article.. and promptly refuted
“Pretty well accepted as truth that Jagger ‘changed his art’ at a request of … The Kennedy’s(John Jr.) I applaud his decision to honor the request,” wrote someone identifying themselves as MisterDDDD. But that explanation seems unlikely, given that author C. David Heymann, in his late-2000s biography of John Jr. and Caroline, quoted a buddy saying the president’s son “loved to shock” his friends by belting out the “Kennedys” lyric during his own impromptu renditions of “Sympathy.”
I had heard John Jr., but the story circulated enough, with no real mention of which Kennedy requested (Caroline?) that I still believe there was likely a request to not play it. at a show they were all attending, and Jagger has left it out since.

I will not say why in regard to keeping with the code here but...
Lately, there's been a little bit of 'Oh the Stones have gone woke and dropped the bit about who killed the Kennedys in... because of...' and... it's complete bullshit.
It's amazing, really, how something so stupid can be turned into gaslighting people because a headline says so.... and then a horrifically "written" article says so and no one does any research because they have a narrative.
As recently discussed, pre-event that has brought this incredible click-bait fake news upon the song into existence, that lyric phrase has been left out extremely often since 1970. Is it because Robert Kennedy Jr is running for president ?
Since "they" - the various whoevers spouting such crap - freely ride the fake train, it's up to us to correct them.
For some reason it's "news". Hilarious that The Rolling Stones are still... but it's completely ignorant of history - hence, click bait.
It's infuriating: these "writers" simply assume things. They're DUMB! Ridiculous quotes, and then it wagons and next thing it starts to avalanche.
As is often said to people on Twitter etc, uhhh, Google?
So please, for BV's sake, keep it strictly on subject.
I can't remember the thread this came up in recently, but if it needs to be joined up, BV, maybe keep it topical in regard to whichever subject title addresses it best, which perhaps this one does because it says it outright.

Mick has left the entire stanza out since 1975. It was edited out for GYYYO.
There's never been one peep from Mick about why. That I've ever read.

There is an interview with Jagger from the late 1980's by Dutch author Boudewijn Buch where he asks why he leaves out the Kennedy line and adds the Paris verse for HTW. I forgot the answer though...

PRIMITIVE COOL.
They talk about Honky Tonk Women but not SFTD. I watched it twice, never heard anything.
Mick has been quoted somewhere, and it came up this summer with the stupid crap I was ranting about, saying, "“Did I leave that out? That song is so long, I always cut a verse. I guess it must've been that one.”
