There really isn’t an excuse these days. It seems he is thinking like the days of old: needing a record deal to go to a studio and put down an album.
In reality he could trip over engineers and producers in the Netherlands with Pro Tools, a laptop, and a decent set of mics who would be willing to record him. At least a demo.

Does anyone know how Taylor created this distorted fuzzy tone on "Spanish",1:31 ?.
It can also be heard on the studio version from 1979. Basically on the lower strings. Or is it just a crancked tube amp? Thank you.

I think this is a relatively new documentary titled
The Rolling Stones: How Heroin and Greed Destroyed Mick Taylor, the Lost Genius.
It's quite brutal in it's criticism of the circumstances that led to Mick's decision to leave the band and the events that followed up to the present day. There's certainly no view through rose coloured spectacles here. What do you think?
