All this fuzz about a guy that left the band of his own will for over 45 years ago, it amazes me.
Yes yes we know he left of his own accord but it's tragic. What's all the fuss about you say ??
Have you heard him play with the Stones, Taylor and the Stones is the best combination of Rock music ever heard, period. It's just so sad for all concerned, what should and could have been.

So you know? Good. The fuzz is that it’s the same before every tour, what about Taylor? Bring back Taylor. And yes, I have seen them with Taylor way back then. And they were good. But to me it’s like living in the past or like hunting ghosts. My opinion.

Yet look at some of their recent setlists where a majority of the tunes they play are from before Ronnie even joined the band c. 75- talk about living in the past.
Bringing Mick Taylor back (again) would at least make the songs from his era a more legit journey through the past. Will probably never happen again, but they could and should make it happen.
It would only enhance the shows and take them to a higher level just as they were during the 50 and Counting tour - Keith realized this and wanted to keep Taylor on for future tours.

Dont agree. At least I make it clear that it is MY opinion while others here talk like it's a fact .

Well it seems clear to me that everyone's post on this subject is their opinion - whether they cleary state "my opinion" or not.
That said, not sure what part you don't agree with....do you think he would actually ruin the shows if he were to come back?

Won't ever happen again. He and his manager blew it. I understand he is now retired completely from the music scene, not even playing guitar at home anymore.
Mathijs
I know his manager sent out some emotional outburst after the rather unproffesional invitation to the exibition, but what are you refering to regarding MT?

They both blew it bigtime. Even escorted out of the arena by security, pissed off everybody.

By ''he blew it'', you mean he expressed frustration and dissapointment when Jagger invited him to a Stones celebration that logistically Taylor had no chance of attending in time.
Big deal.
Unless you know more.

No they blew it when on tour. They turned themselves into persona non grata after several actions they took, they wore out their welcome.

Doesn't sound like the Mick Taylor i know.
DP.
Couldn't have been 2012, Taylor toured with the Stones for two years after that.

It happened on the 50 & Counting-tour.

I have a feeling Mick Jagger squashed the idea as Taylor almost completely stole the spotlight during his solos at the 50 and Counting shows - at least that was the case at the six shows I saw.
I hated when MJ tried to rush MT's solo on CYHMK and Sway on those shows. You would think the petty jealous at age 74 would go away and Jagger would be content with the band and let the band just play with MT. The ironic thing is MT on stage in 1972 and 2012 some fans have the same opinion that he was a highlight of those shows. The whole idea of them being the greatest ROCK and Roll band after MT left was all spin IMO.
