I used my app. to isolate an acoustic guitar on Waiting on a Friend .You can clearly hear the acoustic guitar , especially after 2.29.So there are at least two maybe 3 guitars on the song plus the bass which Taylor may have played

Why add an acoustic guitar that is inaudible anyway...

I can hear it. It's quite percussive and adds to the rhythm of the song.
I don’t know how to, but check out separate tracks apps.where you easily take out instruments and vocalsQuote

Can you post the track and when it's audible?
Thank you.

Acoustic guitar is also in the 1972 version. Listen with headphones, after 3:00 you hear it easily.

With track separation apps., which you can google, you can remove all the instruments and listen to the acoustic guitar .It is very clear, particularly the last minute of the Tatoo you official release.Quote

As an audiophile with electrostatic headphones I must confess that I never ever heard an acoustic guitar on WAOF, not on any track.

There is an outtake where they record the acoustic, and for years I didn't hear an acoustic on the final released version so I thought they deleted the overdub. Now I can hear it, but only at the end of the song, with headphones.
