I hadn’t seen this clip before. Mick Taylor thoughts on punk music, 1979. Bowie and McCartney in there too.

It's his official page, hence the blue icon with the white tick. Presumably it's someone else running it for him, similar to the way it is for Keith.

I have a Taylor-related question that I've been meaning to ask here for a while: Does anyone have any solid info on who's playing what on the 1970 version of 'Leather Jacket'? I hear three guitar parts - acoustic, electric rhythm with a Leslie, and the lead part. Is Keith playing the lead? It definitely doesn't sound like Taylor's style, particularly with the repetition, but given that it was his song I've never been sure. If it is Keith, I assume the pair are doing the same thing for the 'Dancing In the Light', specifically the bootleg version.

Richards plays lead on both Leather Jacket and Dancing in the Light. Taylor is playing the other guitars on Jacket and of course he wrote it. There is a cool version, maybe the single from his album, that has a tasteful laid back solo.

I believe Jagger is on rhythm on Dancing In The Light, but I’d have to listen again. I don’t think Taylor is on it.

I don't think so ...

The so-called "official" Mick Taylor FB page: [www.facebook.com]
and this "Mick Taylor Fanpage" : [www.facebook.com]

Both use the same FB profile pic of a young Mick Taylor.

So-called "official" page has more recent posts from this past summer. To me, it seems like an attempt to pass this page off as "official."

Sorry ...

I don't claim to know anything about this... I just noticed that there are two similar pages for MT on Facebook, one of which is a "fanpage", the other is "official".

The Russian email address I don't know anything about either.

IMO Taylor's absense has nothing to do with the Stones not wanting him there. He seems abscent from any musical project with other musicians or any public event. If there were some problem with the Stones that would not explain his absense in any musical setting. He may just wish it that way. This performance by him at Glastonbury is one of my favorites, and Charlie's drumming is great as alwaysvideo: [youtu.be]

The Russian email address I don't know anything about either.

Yandex.Mail is a free email service - like Google Mail and proves nothing. Yandex has also an registered Headquarter in Schiphol, the Netherlands. And Mick Taylor lives/lived in the Netherlands.

If someone creates/uses an faked FB-Profile of Mick Taylor and pretends it's 'official' - why doesn't Mick Taylor (or his lawyers) care?

Maybe Mick Taylor (or his lawyers) should care about that

or should be made aware of that

Mick Taylor likes grown up women. Leave the man alone.

Mick Taylor obviously prefers his privacy. It doesn't appear he liked touring small clubs as a solo act. Maybe his fairly recent stint with the Stones gave him enough money to hide away. He certainly didn't look all that healthy last time we saw him. I'm not sure why we need to know what he's up to. It's not like Bill, who continues on with new projects. Although he appears to have slowed down on those, unless he has something secretly in store.

Here's to Mick Taylor's health, and whatever he feels like doing.

seems to me that in recent times MT might have worked "secretly" and uncredited on some Tattoo U bonus tracks ... at least so it was on original 1981 release...

what do you think

Re: Mick Taylor Talk - what's on your mind right now...

I think that’s highly likely NathanLaze. As much as I love Keef and Ronnie’s guitar I think most realise that Mick T was and is a far superior guitarist.Folk just won’t admit to it.Long live Mick T.A great guy too.Very modest and humble.

I expect that Mick T may be feelingis Blue and Lonesome.

It's his life.
Stones never the GR&RB without him.
Thanks and praises.

Put Ronnie on drums. Bill on bass. MT and Keith on guitars - and, ladies and gentlemen, we have -

The Rolling Stones.

Would of course be great to have MT and Bill guesting on final ( ( I reckon) studio album.

It's only a body. They are disposable.

Thanks for the Soul.

Put Mick Fleetwood on drums.
