Cloud formation that looks like Mick Taylor (looking a little thinner, like he's lost some weight) playing a Les Paul.

That's a nice track. Here's hoping MT gets a check for $1K every time somebody "likes" the video.

Thanks for sharing spiderman... When I saw the title, I got a bit excited... When I clicked the link, I got rewarded! Nice to see the footage as well as hear an extended version of what I've been listening to and loving for years. One of my favorite bands with about the best guest they could have asked!

Thanks again!

Peace,
Mr DJA

Haha wow! Never heard that before. More than a passing similarity. I'll chalk it up to there's only so many riffs out there and there's ones that are bound to sound similar. But that is pretty suspect. Same time period, perfect person to steal from as at that point Taylor probably wasn't going anywhere big so it wouldn't be too recognizable for people. Probably me thinking way too much about it, but that is strikingly similar. I also hear vague moments of Go All The Way by The Raspberries in this. So who might have stolen from who!

Cool find though. Very good song. I should listen to some of Mick Taylor's solo stuff. Wouldn't expect those vocals from him but those were pretty great and a solid track. Always loved I Need A Woman as well!

Same time period? As Taylor's solo-version, you mean?

John is a huge Stones-fan. I reckon he has the complete bootleg series of "Rare Tracks" with the original Stones instrumental version of Leather Jacket as well smiling smiley

Had never heard the song before. Don't know its origins. Yeah, I meant the released Taylor version. Although now I see John's song came out even earlier before the known version in 78, so who knows. Also funny that, according to Wikipedia so who knows its accuracy, but John says the song was inspired by Happy, so another possibly coincidental Stones connection.

«I need a love» and «I need a lover». Inspiration may come in different ways smiling smiley
