I want to ask a question I wondered for a while.

Important: It's NOT specific about bv and I want to take care of everyone's privacy.

But I'd really like to know where superfans, who tour all over the world with the Stones, got the money. For me it would be a dream to have such a life, to be at the best partys of the world. I can't imagine that they all are millionaires, some need to make compromises in other aspects of life.

I sold my cousin.

I won the lottery a few years ago and found myself with 10 million quid in my pocket.

Had to spend it on something.

It's all gone now, so I'm hoping for another win before the next leg of the tour starts cos I'm stoney broke.

Compound interest, return on investments, hard work, inheritances. Same as everybody else. There are about 10 million millionaires in the USA alone these days, lots of Stones fans among them. peace

Some work as a THIEF IN THE NIGHT!

I had the luxury to be to attend the last (2013) batch of "Paris" rehearsals. I had my own private travel accomodation that took me from my home to the place and back every day.
On the site I was given the VIP treatment and was privy to eavesdrop the rehearsals from a privileged spot.

Translation :
as the band was rehearsing 5 minutes from my crib, I hauled my @ss there every day on a 1980's bicycle. On site I would freeze my bum standing against a white iron fence that was the best spot to catch the music. At times I found it better to sit on a slab of concrete.
I met a super-fan who was staying at a less-than-luxurious hotel and who didn't dine on caviar.
What kept us united? PASSION and believe me some days were dire.

Conclusion:
I don't think you need that much money to follow the band. Saving money between tours and keeping everything cheap is key.

Airline and hotel points got me to Japan and China last spring. Same for London in 2012.
My work schedule had me in Anaheim in 2013.

The concert tickets are, by far, the biggest expense.
