I found it a long time ago, when my modem used to work at 56 Kb and I could make a cup of coffee or roll a cigarette while waiting for some Junoesque breast to fill my screen in its glorious plenitude. Tired of porn at “Continental Drift speed”, I was searching content about the Stones and the IORR site was suggested to me by BOMIS, a search engine / portal that doesn't exist anymore, I guess. (BOMIS was a peculiar portal, every day they used to add some ironic or surreal slogan on top of the page, like “We know, we know, … we are wasting our lives too”).
Then, 9 or 10 years ago, Bjornulf was probably saturated by zillions of gigabytes of posts (data storage was more problematic at the time, I suppose), and decided to erase everything. It was a drastic change, like the transition from the Cretaceous to the Paleogene period in the earth's timescale, with a mass extinction of most of the “species” strolling around on IORR. If my memory doesn't betray me, Dandelion Powderman survived this apocalyptic end of a world, I don't recognize or remember other names, but probably many of us have resurrected under a new nickname... (to add an epic touch to the continuing saga, lean your monitor at a 45 degree angle and move it forward).

I think that back in 2001 or so, when you googled (pardon: infoseeked of altavista-ed) 'rolling stones fanclub', you'd come across iorr, and that informal community that an internet forum is was the most resembling thing to a fanclub you could have, since an official one did not exist (and still doesn't really). Of course real fanclubs had no future anyway.
I started posting after the Oberhausen show back in 2003, had a very frequent and mostly ridiculous output up to the end of the BB tour and after that I somewhat grew over it, with intervals of more than a year bweteen posts... Anyway that's what I learn from the search engine.Quote

Nice saga. I remember it, must have been somewhere late 2004. However, only the threads were deleted, no usernames as far as I recall. But indeed, it caused a storm!
