Great interview even if Keith's condemnation of the anorak record collector seems a bit small-minded. He also neglects to mention that black audiences walked away from the blues. Without those white college kids, it would have withered and died. Poor things can't help they were born with no soul.

Not entirely true, lots black folks in the south have always embraced the blues. I know plenty of older black people with pretty good collections of blues music. Of course the white audiences helped make it a viable business again and obviously helped the genre.
