I got Stones socks for Christmas and the label below I'm now using as a bookmark. But once I finish the book I know I should throw the label out—the fate of most labels. But...
What do you do with such labels and boxes (or Stones bags in which they stuff your Stones goodies at concert-merchandise booths)?

They're all on the floor, pile's of 'em.... haven't tidied up the house for ages... christmas 2005 was the last time I Believe.... Records, guitars, amps, keyboards, dvd's, vcr's, empty sour mash bottles... Dirty laundry...

What you save determines what level of fan/collector/fanatic you are. I save everything. I even saved the shipping box the goodie bag/blanket came in when you bought a pit ticket last tour. It's a sickness that there is no cure for. Just accept it and enjoy the ride.

Ha-ha, we're a strange lot to some people I would imagine. Recently I'm giving away some of my old tour bags in trades or whatever. Friends always say "are you sure?" Maybe it's a sign of old age/moving on. Anyhow I'm happy to do it. Spread the cheer I say.

I was just pondering this question when I was lucky enough to pick up the last of the Rolling Stones Christmas tree ornaments. The box is almost as cool as the guitar that plays real tunes!

I used to keep the CD "long boxes" in the old days, but they are long since chucked....and I do still have the white binding sticker for the "Boogie 4 Stu" Eagle Records tribute to Ian Stewart CD, because I got a kick out of the misspelling on it "A tribute to Ian Stuart".

It took me a while but I just got the LA Forum DVD. Boy was I pleased with that release because they totally fixed the sound by synching the mobile truck stereo recording to the video. The audio of what I assume is the July 11th show makes such a difference that the July 11th show sounds like such a better show. I used to think Jann Wenner was crazy for praising this show so much in Rolling Stone back in 1975. Now I get a better idea of what he must have heard that night. The bootleg videotape and later DVD did not do justice to that show in terms of audio. The stereo audio is a major revelation. All for a mere $12.99.
