Couldn't get the link to work but why worry about this. I'm sure it shouldn't be taken so seriously.

Can't go through two nights running of X Factor.

Might watch BBC Sports Personality 2014 and flip over to ITV now and again.

Not gonna give much effort to watch Ronnie with One Direction.

Whether this is the right song for Ronnie ?

Where Do Broken Hearts Go (from the 2014 Album 'FOUR')

I could imagine well Ronnie with his slide guitar on a ballad - but this song .... confused smiley

Might watch it now.

Just to see what a bunch of boy band youngsters and a really great guitarist and legend, playing a pop song ,sound and look like.

It's not exactly a bluesy or rockin' song, just teenage pop.

Mind you,in the past Ronnie would go to the opening of an envelope if the cameras and press were around.

I expect he treats it as a good night out with Sally and a bit of relaxation after a Stones Tour.

Riiiiight.

Almost 53 years as a band, but THIS is what's gonna finally bury them.

You never know.

They may change the plan and do a rip-roaring version of Brown Sugar or Jumping Jack Flash.

Would like to think so anyway. grinning smiley

One Direction are not a band. They are glorified karaoke.

Shows what I know.

I thought a band played musical instruments.

Can't see anything about that for them ,so I guess they just sing and prance around, and the house band plays and Ronnie as well.

Oh Well ! I will wait and see, but it does look a bit like karaoke.

Breaking news : Ron has been demoted from this "official member" position in the band!
Back to 1982 for him : a per-diem and 2nd class airflights!

Wtach out Ronnie : Thorogood hasn't given up on plotting behind your back to take your place in the band! >grinning smiley<

Yeah their fans were young teenagers but they were skilled musicians who could play an instrument and give an original interpretation of a song, not just a bunch of boys who all sing, look pretty with only a band member>grinning smiley< who can play the guitar a little bit.

It's a storm in a tea cup. Ronnie endorsed One Direction many times the last few years, so why does this come as a surprise for some? Ronnie might even like their music.

Quite right.
The jazz and blues afficiandos were pretty dismissive of the Stones (and probably most white musicians) back in 1962/63.It certainly pissed off Keith at the time as he has repeated in many interviews over the years.
Its all show biz at the end of the day.
