Unfortunately, no Rolling Stones for me this year, but a lot of other concerts and it's a pretty eclectic list.
In chronological order:
Prairie Home Companion (musical guests Sara Watkins and The Wailin' Jennies)
Poco & Pure Prairie League (double bill)
The Eagles
A Grammy Salute to The Beatles (Paul & Ringo played separately and together)
Hawkwind
The Magic Band performing the music of Captain Beefheart
Bryan Ferry
Joey Molland's Badfinger
Death (the African-American Detroit band, not the metal band)
Black Sabbath
Wishbone Ash
Gregg Allman
Nickel Creek
Sixto Rodriguez
The Bangles
Queen + Adam Lambert
Grand Funk Railroad
Bob Weir & Ratdog
Boston
Yes
Dickey Betts & Great Southern
Nik Turner
Gary Clark, Jr.
Paul McCartney
King Crimson
Experience Hendrix
Wingsmen (Denny Laine, Denny Seiwell, and Laurence Juber) at Beatlefest
Jimmy Page in conversation with Chris Cornell (not a concert but it was fun)
Woodstock, The Concert
Fleetwood Mac
Steve Hackett: Genesis Extended
and ending the year with Cat Stevens on Dec. 14.
No tickets yet for 2015, it's a blank page, but I think it's likely I'll see the Who again and I'm hoping for another RS concert.
Near L.A. A lot of driving in rush hour traffic to get to some of these.Quote
