Oh my god I'm shocked. I literally had to reread the thread title several times to see if I was reading it right.
As I'm typing, I'm still not sure I'm reading it right.
How sudden and sad. Great great saxophonist and so amazing to see him stick with this band over the years.

Sad news. Bumped into him at Milwaukee's Bradley Center before No Security tour gig in '99. He was checking out the venue. He will be missed.

Damn, so sorry to hear this. I was hoping Bobby would recover in time for shows in 2015.
I guess ya hadda figure it was a very serious condition that kept him out of the last leg of
the tour.
Met him briefly in Las Vegas once, saw him solo with a cover band in Chicago--last time
where I could really see him play up close was from the pit in 2013.
What a fine musician he was and nice guy. RIP Bobby. .
