A couple of good ones:

One punch and you knocked me down
You tore my defenses apart
One round took me out of the game
You did me some permanent harm

I'm losing my willpower, my blood's running cold
My body's on pause and my mind's stuck on hold

Time Is On My Side. they didn't write it, its a perfect bridge though. It was probably through covering songs like this that they got so good at writing their own.

My favorite bridge would be the Brooklyn Bridge and then London Bridge, which is falling down/

This was a pretty decent Stones' bridge.

Yeah, don't try to reel me in
With all those charm school looks
I've seen it all a thousand times
I sung that song, I wrote that @#$%& book

Agree with these!

- Rocks Off
- Loving Cup
- Memory Motel
- Monkey Man and Coming Down Again sublime "bridges"

I realize I may be alone in this, but my all-time favorite Stones' bridge of all time is:

But Angie, I still love you, baby
Everywhere I look I see your eyes
There ain't another woman that comes close to you

It's the only straight-up real non-maudlin, non-preachy, actually vulnerable, haunted,
authentically sad expression in the entire song. And it's there for 3, maybe 4 lines, and
vanishes.

YES!!!!! That's one of my favourites as well.

Also:
Is it any wonder
Is it any wonder
Is it any wonder
That we fuss and fight.

I find it hard, hard to be cruel
I find it hard, hard to be cruel with a smile
Don't you? You'll never find that perfect love
That you read about, that you dream about

---------------------------------------------------

And I need a time out, time to make my mind up
Substitute a line out, I'll be back next season with a bang

---------------------------------------------------

The only good thing about this track smiling smiley

My whole life is hanging on a thread
I'm the fly inside the spider's web
I'm looking to the future, I keep on glancing back
I prefer to rot, I don't want to pop

How's this one?

I can't go on like this, Can you, can you?
I can't go on like this, Can you?

Re: My personal favorite-bridge with Stones are:

All the good ones are taken. It made me re-listen to the "Rocks off" bridge a few times because there is some odd timing in there too.

How about
"I had to save a life
I gunned him twice'
And I watched him die (watch out boy)
Yeah I watched him die?"

Re: My personal favorite-bridge with Stones are:

This is a pretty good one:

Yeah, when you call my name
I salivate like a Pavlov dog
Yeah, when you lay me out
My heart is beating louder than a big bass drum, all right

Re: My personal favorite-bridge with Stones are:

Simple, but great:

Am I hard enough?
Am I rough enough?
Am I rich enough?
I'm not too blind to see

Ain't I, innit? Beautiful indeed

Tell me a story about
How you adore me
Live in the shadow and we
See through the shadow and we
Live through the shadow and we
Tear for the shadow and we
Hate in the shadow and we
Love in your shadowy life

Re: My personal favorite-bridge with Stones are:

Yeah, I was dreaming last night, baby
Last night I was dreaming
How you'd be mine
But I was crying like a child
Yeah, I was crying, crying like a child
You could be mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, all mine
You could be mine, could be mine, could be mine, all mine

Hear the whistle blowing,
hear it for a thousand miles

Perhaps their longest bridge:

Well you heard about the Boston...
It's not one of those
Well, talkin' 'bout the midnight...sh...
The one that closed the bedroom door
I'm called the hit-and-run raper in anger
The knife-sharpened tippie-toe...
Or just the shoot 'em dead, brainbell jangler
You know, the one you never seen before
So if you ever meet the midnight rambler
Coming down your marble hall
Well he's pouncing like proud black panther
Well, you can say I, I told you so
Well, don't you listen for the midnight rambler
Play it easy, as you go
I'm gonna smash down all your plate glass windows
Put a fist, put a fist through your steel-plated door

Is it already too late?
No point shutting the gate
Have you already swallowed the bait?
And you're gone

Feel the juice
Foot to the floor, take some abuse

Re: My personal favorite-bridge with Stones are:

Not my favourite, but - well - it's a bridge grinning smiley

My cards are on the table, you can look up my sleeves
You say you're honest, but love is for thieves
Well I was just out there, chaste as a nun
But it's easier said than done

Re: My personal favorite-bridge with Stones are:

Another latter-day bridge:

Well the only thing I ask of you
Is to hand me back some pride
Don't you dump me on some dusty street
And hang me out to dry

Re: My personal favorite-bridge with Stones are:

(So) Get up, stand up, out of my way
I want to talk to the boss right away
Get up, stand up, who's going to pay?
I want to talk to the man right away

Actually my favourite is one with only three words - I'm a monkey.

The bridge in Monkey Man is nothing short of sublime, a sweeping piano-led piece played by Nicky Hopkins that shimmers and soars and ascends all the way to the heavens.

Isn't that the chorus?

I always regarded the beautiful instrumental piece (with the slide) as the instrumental bridge in MM.

It's brilliant anyhow, though, no matter what it is thumbs up

D'you know what Dandy - that song is a strange one. I don't think there is a conventional chorus in it. A chorus is a refrain, right? And there is no refrain in that song. I think it's a song with no chorus and just a bridge leading to the outro. eye popping smiley

Plus the lyric content "I'm a Monkey" is a bridge of sorts

Yes, thanks for completing my point.
I know some people don't think the lyrics measure up to the music in this song
but I love it all.
