You mean to record the sound from a Youtube-file to the best audio-quality possible?

Sorry, no, you download 1 audio file from youtube but you want to seperate every number that's in this file, like the audio is 75 minutes and there are 10 songs.is this possible.

I see. Polderbit Sound recorder and Polderbit Sound Editor will do the trick.

Polderbit Sound Recorder/Editor is much simpler (logic-wise) to use for recording and editing than Audacity and VLC, imo.

The problem with ripping audio files from YouTube is that the original files are usually low bit rate .mp3 files. When you rip them to a higher resolution file you don't get the same results as an original high resolution file.

Yes, certain software/hardware combinations can use complex algorithms and filters which may approximate a higher resolution file, but it is mostly an approximation and is different than starting with an analog or high resolution file to begin with. Some upsampling technologies actually don't improve the sound at all because of the way your DAC (digital to Analog converter) works on your playback system.

If you have no storage space limitations it likely won't hurt to use the higher resolution file options when ripping, but in alot of cases you probably won't be able to tell the difference between them and the lower resolution files you started with. peace

That's true, I never satisfy with the result from youtube.

but with Polderbit Sound Recorder/Editor and Dvd Audio Extractor

I can now listen to music on cd and make them lossless

and I'am very happy about it then use some sound normalizer and the that's

the best you can do.

"Replay Music" software will record from any music source including YouTube. It costs about US$17, I think. It is capable of taking one music file with a number of tracks, and dividing that into individual mp3 files for each track. It also does all kinds of other things. You need to google it and then read about it for yourself.

"Download Helper" for Mozilla Firefox could be googled and checked out, but it won't divide tracks.

There are a few YouTube to mp3 converters available, but I would research and use the original. It likewise does not divide tracks.

I have used "Replay Music" (mentioned above) very extensively, and would highly recommend it. It is worth every penny.

As a side note: No software is going to make a high bitrate file out of a low bitrate source file. However software can do the opposite of that. That is to make a low bitrate file out of a high bitrate file.

Just to say: Audacity fried my brain. I once managed to get it to work after several hours when I was desperate, but have never had the energy to try again. So many thanks for the suggestions here for easier ways!
