I doubt if they'll be coming back to US cities they played in 2013, with perhaps one or two exceptions, from what we've heard so far. They have plenty of other places to go.

This is great news. However, I do not believe they will play many locations. My guess is that they will play a few large stadiums and some indoor arenas. Any tour is greatly welcomed. And if they can produced some new songs and album, that would be a plus.

They've got a lot of pent up demand in some parts of the U.S., where they haven't toured since 2006.

I believe it's arenas (or festivals) for the Stones in North America... Just look at 2013 sales figures - they have pulled 4-5 milion for each show, not much less than in Europe playing huge stadiums... I'd say they will prefer exclusive arena tour with high prices rather than huge-ass stadiums which might be more tricky to sell out in NA... Fingers crossed for Lucky Dip tix for all these shows!

If one was to do 4 or 5 shows in the USA (and yes we dont know which cities yet they are playing), what would you recommend? I have previously seen RS in LA & San Fran in '97 during my only ever visit to the USA.

Currently Im thinking I'd like to see them and visit:

NY, Chicago, Boston, Toronto

Any other must visit cities/shows that should be on my shortlist?

Everyone should visit New York City in their life but try to arrive after dark and see the Manhattan skyline lit up as you make your way in from the airport,it really is an amazing sight.

I love Rome, an absolutely magnificent city and I am Italian after all, but at the same time I adore New York and have visited it twice. You cannot compare the two cities as they are so different. It is like comparing classical and rock music, but you can appreciate both.><

Yes I visited Rome for the first time last summer to see the Stones and I was blown away by Rome it is an amazing place and I will definitely return again and visit some more of Italy.

Yeah but the acoustics are amazing at RAH and only half decent at the 02. And they could do a cheap day ticket queue as for the Proms (no chance I know)><

As far as "stadia" go Ford Field is one of the better places to see a show. It's indoors and smaller than most NFL stadiums. I remember on Licks Jake Berry said the Stones stadium rig barely fit into Ford Field.
