He was a laughing stock in Belgium. People really laughed at him.
It was really terrible to watch.
I thought back then: this is not what my last Stones show should be (what did I know they would kept on touring) and went to see them in London... Although marginally better, it was still pretty horrible.

On the same tour, you mean?

Yes. Werchter was the first show from the European leg, London were the last gigs.

Definitely not talking about the 2012-2013 London gigs. 3/4 were fantastic (wasn't too impressed with the first hyde park gig).

BOBBY KEYS INTERVIEWED (2014)

Bobby before I ask you about some specific music things, is your diary well booked for the next year or so with touring and recording sessions?

"There are some pleasant gaps but right now I know there is about six weeks worth of Stones work and from then on I don't know."

I was at a number of post-surgery shows, and Keith had some tough nights, when he was clearly struggling. My seats are usually pretty good, so I was surrounded by mostly real fans, and there were some expressions of concern. I heard shouts of encouragement, but I never heard one person laugh - that's @#$%& pathetic. That's what I dislike about festivals. You inevitably get a large segment of life's losers who think it's "rock and roll" to get drunk, mock the bands they didn't come to see, and basically make themselves the center of attention. Someone should educate these welfare roll lowlifes - let them know that to laugh at a guy who's clearly struggling to recover from an injury isn't consistent with the sense of humanity that most of us strive for, and ask them not to have any kids.

I thought this tread was looking forward to 2015 - not analysing problems on the BB tour. I saw the band in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and I hope to see them in 2015!
Let's look forward..

Encouraging and discouraging both...

Considering how hard it was to sell all of the tickets for the 2013 North American shows, they are only going to go where they feel there is money. Vegas makes sense as they are being a paid a lot for a festival appearance. I think we could see more repeat cities, as the thinking may be that if that pricing didn't fully work with the major cities they went to, then it's going to be even harder in other cities. They could feel it is safer to return to traditional strongholds, even if played in 2013, than to go to an unplayed city. NYC MSG would make sense, where they could probably get away doing 3 shows, than going to somewhere like Houston where they may struggle to sell out 1 show at the 2013 pricing. I could also picture 1 show at the LA Forum, if the Rock in Rio festival doesn't block them from playing the LA market.

U2 doing multiple nights in most cities would make sense for the Stones. Less tress of travel, and expense....not only moving the band and entourage, but the stage.

2 in Toronto
3 nights in NYC
2 in Texas
1 in Vegas
3 in LA or San Fran
close in Vancouver or Seattle for 2

Maybe Miami too? Lollapalooza in Chicago?

I am sure my hometown of Buffalo is not included. Hugely successful shows in 1975 (they played and arena in June, then cam back in August after latin america was cancelled and played the tour closer in a stadium), 1978, 1981...then a half-full stadium in 1997 made it apparent the market was no longer big enough or willing to pay Stones pricing in stadiums.

Please DO NOT use this thread for discussing old shows or other topics. This is a thread about the 2015 rumoured shows ONLY. I will delete any off topic posts here, and it is really a waste of time. Feel free to talk about other stuff any place on IORR, but this thread is still abour the 2015 shows and nothing else.

Being Mexico part of north america, they can play there after some few u.s.dates. So 2 gigs in june may have sense.
And leave South america for october

There's a pretty big festival in Mexico that takes place in the first half of October called Corona Capital, wouldn't surprise me a bit if they play it, it has grown steadily over the last couple of years, and it would be a coup for the organizers to get The Stones.

On the other hand the June dates fit nicely with the rumored May dates, of course those shows would be part of the NA leg.
