I wish I could have been there for another of these historical performances!!!!!!!
No problem with Rocks Off at all...objectivity is always wise and very important before any criticism of any artist.

Many of Keith's clothes on the 2014 tour are from YSL brand. Maybe he gets paid to wear them?

Yes. Every artists have contracts with brands. They receive a lot of money to wear their brand.

Let's Spend the Night Together, missing the beginning, with some strong backing vocals by Keith.

I dont understand the attitude or better to say resistance against new Rolling Stones tracks. Out Of Control is stunning live track (frankly speaking I prefer OOC to Paint It Black) and Doom&Gloom is new song from their latest compilation album. Where is respect for Rolling Stones as still working, recording and still relevant music artists? It seems like that some of you wants to put them into category of "acts of past" which are supposed to do only old stuff and concert without any new / recent material is completely fine for you.... Sorry, but it´s sad and wrong. Have some respect for them as still relevant artists and support them in playing new songs or songs from recent albums.

Satisfaction, without the intro. I must say, Keith definitely felt like playing LOTS of notes on this song that night - he played on and on during his solo. Which is not necesarilly brilliant because of this but astonishing and promising, because it's good to see him in such a flow. He obviously enjoys playing and works on his skills.

It probably is near the end for the Stones....who'd have guessed?....but retiring in the context Mick meant was..."shy and retiring" as in, he likes to retire to the background....maybe an English (England) expression?...

Unless of course he's been putting new tyres on his collection of cars he doesn't drive..........smoking smiley

Not liking how Mick and Keith don't share the mic during Dead Flowers anymore... That's always been one of the highlights of the show for me, seeing those two interacting and singing together.

Bjornulf or anyone, do you know what Mick, Keith and Ronnie were laughing about during the curtain call in
that wonderful photo you took?

They do look very happy at the end, extra bows and so forth.

Yeah that performance of Rocks Off was probably the first real low point on this tour. Sounded pretty soft with only Charlie, Chuck and Darryl keeping it together. Huge hole smack dab in the middle of the sound where Ronnie and Keith should be. Could be the mix on the awful recording but still...not a flattering performance. With Mick practically MIA because of his voice---there are few redeeming qualities here. Hope Mick fully recoops quickly---it's obvious just how much the band gels when every single member is bringing it their all.

It's been more than 30 years since they did that (save SAL). On DF more than 40 years.

Yeah I can't see or hear anything terribly wrong with RO, it's not a trainwreck at all, oh well...

Compare with Pinkpop half year ago: [youtu.be]
(and look at that beautiful smile of Mick at 1.22)

I love that photo of Keith, definitely a keeper! His stage clothes have also improved immensely over the last couple of shows, thank god those hideous bomber jackets seem to be a thing of the past. He's been looking quite snazzy the last few shows! grinning smiley

Anybody else waited for Can't Be Seen? It just popped up on Youtube smiling smiley. It could be this is a bit better than before in Europe. Keith sings very, very well (teleprompter helps with the lyrics, but vocally so good)! A few wrong notes on guitar to cringe, but if those are the only ones he played during the whole show... there are less wrong notes in his playing recently, no? I got this impression at least - as a non musician. Some idiots are talking all the time angry smiley, so the camera holder eventually went somewhere else.

Keith looks like he is going to thrash or even kill his guitar in this picture. What did the poor thing do to him? grinning smiley

Does anybody know, during which song this was taken?

My guess is JJF or Tumbling Dice. He's wearing the same clothes as LSTNT (early on in the set) and appears to be using 5 strings, Open G, Telecaster, capo at 4th fret.

Leaning towards JJF, but I've never noticed how he plays that one. I'm not much of a guitar player, obviously (tried for about 5 minutes, once).

It's taken during JJF. He plays a different telecaster on Tumbling Dice.

Cheers,
