"It is with great sadness that we report that Rick Rosas has passed away.
Rick Rosas, affectionately known as "Rick the Bass Player", has had a long musical career.
Most recently, Rosas filled in on bass on the Neil Young & Crazy Horse tour of Europe (Billy Talbot had suffered a stroke).
Crazy Horse drummer Ralph Molina posted on Facebook earlier this evening the sad news".

Saw him at Neil"s concert in Hyde Park in July, a great and talented musician. Deep condolences to his family and friends.

I was shocked when I found out.I loved his dry sense of humor, We've had a few nice chats over the last couple years.

Sad. Saw him playing bass together with Neil in Bergen in August. Laidback and cool.

So sad. I fortunately had the pleasure to see him play numerous times with both Neil and Peggy Young. A tremendous loss. R.I.P.
