OK.....who is that TALL GUY in the white tshirt, arms above his head, front row of the pit in this first pic???? HE WAS back row of the pit in Perth #2 and my wife (who is 4'10" tall!) picked him out and said to me "I am glad I am not standing behind HIM!!!"

Speaking of band members' clothes, I really like Mick's 2-toned shirt but the cuffs seem to get in his way, not easy to roll up, methinks.

probably we better stop discussing Keefs jackets altogether.
Well - cards on the table- I really like this jacket and have no desire to whine about it. I'd be interested in latebloomer,s view as I assume she now has possession of the blue jacket (as he hasn't worn it yet thank goodness). Sounds as if this jacket is associated with good playing although no comments on keiths set

Getting very excited for Hanging Rock. The Melbourne based Stones podcast 'Stonesmonth' caught up with one of it's hosts Johnny Collins after he emerged from the first Stones show in Melbourne at Rod Laver Arena. Here the interview below if you fancy.

I can't tell if those are stars, palm trees, or cannabis leaves on Keith's jacket, but I love it!

A review from the man who claimed Charlie had left the band a few years ago. No mention in the above article- he should be made to publicly eat his words!

Another slice of humble pie... Being onstage with the band with nothing particular to do. confused smiley

A great show, really enjoyed it. I am not in the business of 'ranking' it with other shows I've seen of there's.

The lads were clearly enjoying themselves up there and for me that means everything for the performance.

Met some nice people during the day whilst queuing and managed to get myself Seven News too.

All in all a great day.

Here are some photos I took:

To be honest, there are several songs when some band members have not so much to do...

Worried About You:
Mostly Mick up there on the front, while Ronnie and Keith have a chat behind him

Lovin Cup:
Same as above

Can't Be Seen:
Ronnie is not that busy

Matt Clifford, Tim, Lisa, Bernard, they all have some songs they are busy on, others they are not so busy. I think some people are WAY TOO CONCERNED about what exactly Mr Taylor should do on stage, to be honest. Like it or not, he is just a guest player, not the main act.

I leave it up to Mick and Keith to run the band. After 52 years I don't think we are in for requests on how to manage their band dispositions. I take what I get, and to quote the papers in Perth:

TOO GOOD TO RETIRE...

<Can't Be Seen:

Er, he is carrying the song. But he's not loud in the mix. He's doing all the rhythm guitar work.

There is not only the guitar solo, but there is also the rhythm that is even more important!
